Chapter 3 Sorry I'm Late

The four air bending children sat outside in a circle. The four were waiting on Korra to show up. Korra would watch them tonight because their parents were going out tonight.

The oldest one, Jinora spoke up and said, "Korra is gonna be late. Can't we just wait inside?" She asked her siblings.

The youngest one, Rohan, stood up and looked at the ocean waiting to see a ferry.

Jinora sighed and said, "Korra is always late. The first day she got here she was late."

Rohan looked at his sister "Really? On the first day?"

Jinora nodded "It's true. You can even ask dad."

Ikki, the second oldest, looked out to the ocean and saw a ferry. Ikki quickly stood up and said, "Come on guys! Korra is here lets meet her at the dock!"

Rohan and Meelo happily ran after Ikki towards the dock. Jinora followed behind holding her book.
As the siblings reached the dock, Korra was walking off the ferry with Asami beside her. The air bending children tackled Korra into a hug. Asami just smiled and shook her head.

Korra smiled at the children and said, "Lets go back inside and say bye to your parents before they leave."

The air bending children nodded and started walking until Meelo yelled, "RACE YOU. LAST ONE THERE IS A LOSER."

He created an airball and raced to the temple with Korra and Ikki behind. Rohan watched his siblings air bend and looked at the ground.

Asami saw this and looked down at the little boy "Rohan don't worry soon you'll be able to bend. You'll get there one day."

Rohan looked up at Asami "Really? Dad says I'm still a beginner."

Jinora joined the conversation "Don't worry Rohan. Look on the bright side. You're a better bender then Asami."

Asami stared at Jinora and said, "Well yeah! Im not a bender!" Jinora laughed and Rohan joined in.

Asami smiled and shook her head. Asami and Rohan walked beside Jinora. "Sorry for being late, Jinora. Korra waited on me and that's why we are late."

Jinora nodded "It's alright, Asami. My parents are still here anyway."

As Asami, Rohan, and Jinora reached the air temple, they saw Korra running in a circle with her hands up yelling, "I WIN HA! MEELO IS THE LOSERRRRRR!"

Asami stared at Korra "Korra may be 21 but she still acts like a kid."
Rohan ran up to Korra and jumped around, following Korra. Korra picked up Rohan and held him up in the air cheering.

Tenzin and Pema came out, staring at Korra and Meelo, yelling how unfair Korra was.

Tenzin sighed and walked over to Asami with Pema beside him. "Good thing you came along also, Asami. We should be back around 10:30 and Pema made some sweet buns for you and the children."

Asami nodded "Alright. You guys have fun!" she called as the two walked towards the dock where the ferry waited.

Asami called at Korra and the air bending children "Im going inside with Jinora." And with that, everyone followed.

Korra sat on the living room floor with Rohan, Ikki, and Meelo. Asami sat on the couch with Jinora, who was busy reading her book.

Suddenly, Rohan spoke "Korra is it true you were late the first day you got here? Jinora said so."

Korra turned around and stared at Jinora who pushed the book closer to her face. "Yes it's true. I was late. So late your dad was mad at me."
