P R O L O G U E :

I chocked a gasp as I heard laughter coming from the opposite site of my wall, I looked at the open window I quickly manoeuvred my head and shut the damn blinds that I forgot exisited!

Shit!

I looked down and blushed, this cannot be happening to me, I blushed even more thinking about how good he looked even though he was kinda old then me, but he looked like he was 23.

I blushed again and screamed loudly. This can't be happening to me?! I thought. I quickly peeked through my blinds to check he wasn't there but he saw me rustling away and waved his hand. I turned my back quickly and slid down to the floor.

I groaned and placed my hands grouch my hair. Hopefully he wasn't those weirdos who went around the neighbour hood and have cookies.

I placed my shirt and a pair of worn out jeans on before checking my phone for any updates.

I heard my door bell ring and I waited for some one to open the door.

"EMMA OPEN THE DOOR!" My mum yelled from downstairs probably in the kitchen and I winced not before replying

"Okay!" I screamed back.

I scrambled down the stairs and rushed towards the door in a hurry. my long brown hair was tangled in a bun and I smoothed the bun to look presentable before I opened the door.

I smiled and opened the door.

my mouth dropped open, I looked at the person standing in front of me with a basket full of cookies. His smirk told me he was the one, his eyes a misty grey and his hair a dark brown oak colour gave it away.

I stopped myself from reaching out and touching the volumed hair in front of me.

"Hi, neighbour." he said and I swear to got my knees collapsed but thank god for the door. His voice was smooth and I knew if he kept on talking I would faint.

"Hi..." no one likes you I thought. I gave a tight lipped smile and glared at him when he entered the house.

Stupid hot neighbour.

"Dear, who is it? Not those stupid surveys. Oh!" Mum peered out of the kitchen and instantly brightened her mood when she saw the man in front of me.

"Oh! Who's this young attractive, handsome young man darling? Is he your friend?" She quickly wiped her hands on her apron and tucked her blonde hair behind her ear.

"No mum." I groaned silently wondering when he would leave.

"No Ma'am, I'm your next door neighbour I moved in today so I wanted to introduce myself personally." he grabbed my mothers hand and kissed it before placing the basket onto the counter.

Ew! Can he be more weird then ever. he looked back at me and I looked at him thinking what the hell?

The I realised he was waiting for my hand, I gave him my hand even though I protested my mother sharply gave me a stern look and I placed my soft hand into his rough big hands. He gently pressed his lips on my skin and the shivers went down my spin, I shudder and tried to ignore how warm his hands were.

"Jax Daniels, your name?" He spoke quietly and did not look amused yet I saw the twinkle in his eyes I saw the way he saw me. I knew he was thinking of how I humiliated my self and that made me more pissed.

"Sorry, I don't give my name to strangers." let alone weirdos. His eyes shot up in surprise yet I could see the amused look on his face.

"Sorry about my daughter Jax but it was a pleasure to meet you." my mother smiled happily and I groaned, no mum! Don't get hooked with his charms he is just a scum bag.

Jax was in a deep conversation with my mother, I waited for the stupid conversation to finish so I stood silently got at least five minutes yet they both acted so oblivious to my presence so I ended up picking my nails.

"You can leave now." I said harshly glaring at him.

My mother sharply hit my arm and glared at me and gave him a smile.

"No I think your daughter is right I should leave, I have some unpacking to do." he gave a dimpled smile and I nearly melted but then shook my head.
No don't fall into his trap.

I looked at what he was wearing and noticed it was a blue shirt crisped ironed and he was wearing dark navy blue trousers. I looked at his shoes and oddly enough they didn't miss match his clothes.

When my mother walked him towards the door and I finally thanked god, I looked back as I was heading up the stairs. He turned around and smirked at me.

Ergh! Infuriated with him I left to my room, I grabbed one of my pillows and chucked it at the window.

I looked outside at his porch and saw him look at me. I was about to chuck my book at him out of my open window but my book just slid down and didn't go nowhere near him, my mouth dropped open, my cheeks turned red. I looked at him in shock.

I quickly turned around and pulled the blinds down.

Did he just-

I replayed the scene in my head and I deeply blushed; he winked at me, Jax Daniels winked at me.

I flopped on the bed and pulled the duvets on head.

I ultimately fell asleep but I knew I couldn't stop thinking about how my heart raced and my breathing hitched when I replayed the wink.
