Your nose filled with the delicious smell of pancakes cooking in the kitchen

Once you opened the doors to said room you saw your lady standing near the stove, flipping a couple of the battered disks around to make them cook evenly

You smiled warmly and walked over to Alcina

"Good morning love" you spoke in a loving tone, yawning afterwards "I didn't expect you to wake up so early, let alone make breakfast as well"

Your lady turned to face you, kneeling down to your height and giving you a forehead kiss

"I know pancakes are your favourite, so I wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed with them" she smiled and booped your nose with her index finger "yet you've beaten me to it and woke up early as well"

"Well, I didn't feel your presence in bed anymore, so I woke up and noticed you were gone" you explained to your lady

She giggled softly and picked you up with ease, placing you on the counter next to the stove so you could watch her cook more easily "you're quite clingy Y/N, you know that right?" She continued to cook the pancakes, looking at you through her peripheral vision "though, it is quite cute, and I like that about you"

Your face turned a slight red out of embarrassment and by being flustered from her words, you looked away and cleared your throat "well then.."

"I love when you get all shy and embarrassed as well~" she turned her body towards you and moved your head to meet her gaze, she was smirking slightly "it leaves a pretty pink colour on your cheeks" she snickered and pressed a gentle kiss on your lips

'Gosh, she's way more loving this morning than usual, I wonder if anything good happened to her when she woke up' you raised an eyebrow

Your lady then turned her focus back on the food, placing the pancakes on a plate with a drizzle of syrup and fruits on the side

Then she placed the plate and utensils on the dining room table for you to start eating, placing a cup there as well

You were so deep in thought trying to figure out why your lady's been such in a good mood that you didn't even realize she was talking to you

"Y/N?" You heard her say in a gentle tone, feeling her hand press up on your cheek

You looked up at her "huh??" You blinked a couple of times, seeing her concerned face "wh-what?? Oh gosh sorry!"

She tilted her head slightly "you seem to be getting lost in thought quite a bit dear, what seems to be on your mind?"

She helped you down the counter so you could go sit down at the table

She turned to head towards the fridge, it mostly contained blood and organs, but due to you being human she reserved a large portion of it for you and items that you'd need

"Well, I don't quite know it's not really important" you sat down and picked up the fork and the knife

"Well, if it's distracting you that badly, then it must be worth mentioning?" She opened the fridge door and looked back at you with her eyebrow raised, while doing so you took a bite of the fluffy and perfectly cooked pancake in front of you

'Wow! This is delicious' you smiled brightly and prepared another bite

"Hmm, well if you insist" you shrugged "I was just so lost in thought in why you're so happy this morning"
