Alessandra Drakkon
Queen of the Drakkon Empire
"Lord Titus is requesting entrance, your majesty." I sigh, what did he want? I felt as if Titus came to me with a never-ending list of issues every single day, I completed the items and then the next day there were always more.
"Let him in Tendi." How he managed to arrive at the perfect time to catch me doing nothing but waiting for Tanza to return I will never know, he seemed to have a sixth sense for finding me when I wasn't doing anything.
"Your majesty, I really must insist that we add your seal of entitlement to the Solveig system, you've delayed receiving it for quite long enough I think." To be honest I hadn't even remembered that in order to properly claim a system I had to receive a tattoo representing it on my body. "I assumed you would like it somewhere on your back again, so I've brought a table as we previously used." He really was going to insist on me doing it right now, after all it only took a minute or two and he already had everything set up, how could I refuse, especially when I was doing nothing but waiting around.
"Very well, Titus. Have it your way, place the symbol on the back of my neck in line with the others." If I ever received another system, I wouldn't know where to put the seal of entitlement without it looking strange. I guess I would just have to make sure not to conquer anymore systems, though I suppose just saying that would cause irony at some point in the future, hopefully that's not the case this time.
My blue Arachne silk dress wouldn't get in the way because it is on my neck, so I don't bother taking it off. It was a beautiful dress, with a loose skirt and a fitted bodice that was secured by pale gold belts, and the sheer blue cape that wrapped around me hid the deep v back from most except those close enough to see through the fabric.
I move my loose curled hair over my shoulder and lie down onto the table, Titus knew better than to question my choice of placement for my seals of entitlement after the first time, so he stayed quiet and simply placed the machine over my neck so it could do its work. Pricks and tingles tell me it was doing something but since it didn't have to move up and down my entire back to do multiple seals but just the one it was over with quickly.
I stand up and push my hair back over my shoulder allowing it to lie flat down my back, my half up French braid ran from my forehead down to the tips of my hair, melding in with my loose curled hair perfectly. Tanza enters the room and bows to me, Tendi already knowing that my guards do not need permission to enter unless I ask to be alone. "Sorry for taking so long your majesty." I wave her off as Titus finishes packing everything up and a servant grabs the table and carries it out.
"Nonsense, Titus chose to fill my time wisely. Now we are leaving to the city." Titus stares at me with shock and maybe a little bit of horror, as if he saw me as too good to even enter the dirty city residing near my Alcazar. I turn to him and raise an eyebrow, just daring him to say something, but he wisely chooses to bow his head to me and make his departure.
"Are we taking a shuttle, your majesty? Shall I send for one to be prepared?" Tanza asks innocently, having no idea that I previously argued with Yanu about this very same thing. Luckily Yanu tugs on her arm and shakes her head, stating silently to leave that subject alone.
"No, we're walking. I want to explore the city." Tanza opens her mouth to say something, but Yanu quickly yanks on her arm again and Tanza shuts her mouth with an audible click.
I walk through the Alcazar with ease, everyone moving out of my way without me having to dodge them, I don't bother insisting they don't bow to me, it would just make them apologize and insist that it was deserving of my position, in the long run they got to go back to their work quicker if I walked by and ignored them, it was still strange to me that ignoring them while it may seem strange to me and wrong, it was normal and expected by all of them, they were servants and I was their ruler, to them I didn't have to speak to them, just to be in my presence was a great honor to them.
