Alessandra Drakkon
Queen of the Drakkon Empire
"So much for showing the world that I was open to new relationships, no one is going to come ten feet near me with marriage intentions until the victor of this war emerges. So, I suppose Cedric did me a favor in that way, though I just wish he hadn't been foolish enough to believe that he can beat me. He does know that our armada is three times the size of his, as well as us having more advanced weaponry, doesn't he?" I wave Yanu off when she goes to answer my question, I had long walked out of the Centennial estate, knowing this took more importance over a stupid party.
"I wasn't really asking, I know that he does know that. I just can't understand his actions, silence for so long and then he comes right out and declares war? I always figured he was the type to blow something up in order to show his intentions. Not politely announce that we were going to war and that I should prepare in advance, something isn't right." I was missing something I could feel it, something was right in front of my face, but I just couldn't see it yet.
"The primaries have gathered for an urgent meeting your majesty." I slash my hand through the air in annoyance, Titus was just bringing me the news, so I didn't take out my anger on him, but I knew exactly how this meeting was going to go and I was not looking forward to it. "They seem very impatient to speak to you." My mouth opens up into a snarl, not liking his words, even if he was just telling me the truth.
"Tell them I will be there in a moment, and if they protest, let them know that I am Queen here and they can bloody well wait for me, or they can get punished for offending me!" Titus nods and walks away, I know he will not actually tell them what I said, but a more polite version, but it felt good just to get the words out.
I pause and take a deep breath, looking at my reflection in a nearby decorative mirror I adjust my circlet and smooth my hair down, until I look more presentable, I couldn't show that I was anyway ruffled by this situation, the other primaries were sharks and if they scented weakness they would attack.
I walk calmly towards the war room, I don't know if it was really called that, it was more like a meeting room, but in times of war, everything took on a different use. I can hear them arguing even with the door closed, the second the doors slide open and Tendi announces me, it goes dead silent. "Her majesty, Queen Alessandra Drakkon." I walk past them slowly, heading for the throne at the head of the table, I could feel their eyes on me as I walk, scanning over me, looking for any hair out of place, any sign that I was unfit to handle this situation, but I gave them nothing but a stony calm expression.
"I know this is a small annoyance, but it is nothing we cannot deal with." Lucius glares at me, his gaze conveying all of his hate towards me.
"Small annoyance? We are at war because you decided to divorce your husband! This is all your fault! You should abdicate and offer yourself to Cedric to stop this whole thing!" My hand crushes the glass of Nyri I had been about to drink out of, I don't even flinch as the warm liquid splashes across my beautiful dress.
"I have tolerated you long enough, Lucius! That will be the last time you try to take my throne from me! Don't think I don't know about the coup you attempted against me while I was not here to fight against it. Your blatant disrespect will be dealt with now, before you fuck up something when we are in the midst of a battle against House Trennix. All of your holdings will be given to Caius to manage for one hundred years. You will keep one bank account with a hundred thousand drakmas in it, if you receive help from anyone in this room, or from the nobility, you will be without everything for another hundred years. I will not tolerate your actions of treason against me any longer. Is that understood?" While it may not seem like an exactly harsh punishment, all of the Drakkon royal family had been spoiled with excess luxury for most of their lives, it was about time one of them tried to live without the help of a hundred-thousand-year industry funding their bad habits.
