Visibility

What do we see when we look at a rose?

Do we see the atoms that make it up?

Or do we see the electrons that make it solid?

The rose is mostly empty like us.

Its beauty is the result of photons

That bounce off of it with spectral alterations.

What is it that makes objects beautiful?

Is it a learned response from antiquity?

Or a communal social edict?

A scientist would admit ignorance

A philosopher would suggest a concept

God would realize its existential worth

We would argue it out in a court.

A Rose sketch!
