Wind flowing through her hair, Aurelia skidded through the woods trying her hardest to track Cora Hale and Vernon Boyd. Roman and her had been tracking the wolves since leaving the bank, Lia being desperate to focus on anything else than what they found in one of the supply closets. After Scott told Allison about her mother, she left — quite clearly hurt by the information that had been kept from her. But what happened next was undeniably worse. Turning her attention away from Roman, Aurelia saw Derek appear from around the corner — a blonde girl laid limp in his arms. Desperately searching for her heartbeat, Aurelia's mouth became dry and her eyes rightly closed. She was gone. Erica was dead, they were too late to save her.

Knowing she needed to at least save Boyd, she left not being able to bear being near her body. Roman apologised for his loss and chased after the girl.

So that's what they were doing now, both Roman and Lia were trying to cut Boyd off. Cornering him somewhere in the woods, so he couldn't hurt anybody. Having already saved two young children, Boyd had a head start with running away.

Chasing Boyd into a clearing, Roman and Lia hid amongst the trees. Hiding their heartbeats from Boyd so it was a surprise attack rather than he seeing them beforehand. Knowing how each other fight, Lia let Roman take the lead. Starting with a low growl to grab the wolfs attention, Boyd turned on the leaves below his feet. Using a technique he learned in Greece, Roman echoed his growl making it sound as if there we five or six wolves surrounding the clearing. Moving slowly behind Boyd, Aurelia waited to pounce, but due to the wolves senses being heightened as he had fully given in to the full moon — he heard her. Leaping towards him, Boyd skidded to the side leaving Lia to roll to her feet. Circling each other threateningly Roman and Boyd stared each other down before he slid to the back of Boyd's legs and slashed his calves — knocking the wolves balance. Intertwining her body between his legs, Roman kicked his leg out making Boyd trip over Lia's body so he fell to the floor. Grabbing Lia's arm, Roman pulled her to her feet. However, before they hand a chance to contain the wolf, Cora ran in and slashed Roman and Lia so Boyd could get up. Deciding against fighting them, Boyd and Cora took off running again. "For the love of God." Lia groaned, brushing her hair out of her face.

Hearing Derek, Scott and Isaac nearby, Lia and Roman headed towards them hoping to regroup and try again. "Are you sure?" Scott asked an eyebrow raised as he held his phone to his ear. Walking over to her brother, she pat his shoulder to alert him that they were there and watched his eyes widen as he saw the blood trickling down her neck. Mouthing 'I'm fine', Isaac furrowed his brows as she shook her head.

"Yep. Throat ripped out, blood everywhere. It's like the frickin' shining over here. Two little twin girls come out of the woods, start asking me to play with them forever and ever, I'm not gonna be surprised." Stiles sassed, Lia's ears pricking up at the sound of his voice over the phone.

"Can you get a little closer to make sure it was them?" Scott asked, needing to be sure that it was the two wolves that had killed the person.

"Make sure it was them? Scott, who else is going around ripping throats out?" He sassed, hearing the rolling of his eyes through the phone.

"Please just do it," Scott begged. After Stiles checked and told them that it was indeed a throat slash, the phone call ended and Scott breathed a deep breath.

"This doesn't make any sense. The public pool is all the way on the other side of the woods. We haven't tracked them anywhere near there." Lia breathed, her hands on her hips as she was tired.
