Chapter 37: I'll Pay

***Cussing***

~Y/n POV~

I quickly look over towards the guy with wide eyes as I notice everyone else did too

"Y...You want him for two-million dollars?!?!" Massimo yells while looking at the man in disbelief

"Well yeah! That bitch is the last of his kind!" The man yells back

"That's a lie" I think to myself

Massimo and the man begin to yell back and forth, before Massimo calms down and tries to negotiate a different price

I make sure they're both distracted before slowly walking over towards Albertos cage. I reach my arm through the bars and try to take off his blindfold, when he feels someone trying to touch him though he flinches away and wraps his tail around himself

"Baby....it's me" I whisper to him and I see him slightly relax "let me get the blindfold off so you can see for yourself" I whisper and he scoots slightly closer before tilting his head towards me so I can reach his blindfold

I tug of the fabric around his eyes, eventually getting it off, and he squints his eyes adjusting to lighting before focusing on me. As soon as he sees that it's me he immediately smiles and tears form in his eyes. I reach my arm farther in to where I can reach his face and place my hand on his cheek, wiping a few stray tears

"Shhh it's ok, we're gonna get you out of here. I promise" I whisper and he nuzzles into my hand more while nodding

"I just don't know where in the fucking hell we're gonna get two-million dollars..." I think to myself as he tail goes through the bars and wraps around my waist

I smile and gently pat his tail, noticing all the whip marks that cover it, I gently trace one and he flinches

"I'm sorry, I guess they still hurt a lot Huh" I whisper and he nods

I look back towards him and see his wrists are chained to the floor as well as his feet. I feel tears prick my eyes as I feel and see his whole body relax by just my touch

"Alberto....when did you last get sleep?" I softly ask and he shrugs, not being able to talk with the muzzle on his mouth (it has a like clamp on  the inside of it to keep his mouth shut while it has the cage like thing all around his mouth, idk if that made sense but🤷🏽‍♀️)

We both a chair scoot back and we both immediately look up to see what caused the sound, Alberto's tail tightens around me, but when we both look up we just see it's Ercole putting a chair in front of me from the side of the mans desk

"I'm blocking the mans view of you two" he mouths to me and I nod while smiling

Alberto gives me a confused look before trying to motion his head over to Ercole but the chain around his neck makes slight noise

"No no no don't move! You'll cause noise and the man will see us" I quickly whisper before he tries to motion again and he just slight nods

"Ercole is helping us rescue you, I know it's weird and you'll probably think he's just tricking us but he isn't. Giulia already told him that if he tries anything Luca will eat him" I whisper and Alberto tries to smile but the clamp on his mouth restrains him from doing so

"And Luca's doing ok, he's here too somewhere in the water. We were actually supposed to go and regroup with him and his parents but that's when I spotted you and here we are now" I whisper as I bring my hand up to his Gill like hair

I gently ruffle it, trying to get rid of any loose dirt, then bring my hand back down to his cheek which he happily nuzzles in to

Due to Albertos reflexes from when he wasn't chained up, he tries to wrap his arms around me but instead causes a lot of commotion with the chains and the man immediately looks over

"What the hell!! Get away from him!!" The man yells before running over to me and throwing me away from the cage and out of Albertos grasp

Alberto immediately growls and tries to lung for the man but instead gets tased (tazed is how you say it but tased is how you spell it, I had to look it up)

"Hey! We don't want it harmed!" Massimo yells and the man immediately stops

"Oh! I'm so sorry sir, but I think your daughter there was getting a little too comfortable with him" the man says before glaring at me

"Well she is the only reason I'm buying that sea monster! She wants it as a pet!! And don't you dare speak about my daughter that way!!" Massimo yells and the man immediately cowers back into his seat

"R-Right, well since we've settled on the price of nine-hundred and nine thousand, four-hundred and fifty-three and seventy-nine cents ($909,453.79) where's the cash?" The man asks as he makes grabby hands

"In my boat, I'll be right back and I swear if you sell this creature to anyone else I'll have my hit man kill you, here's already waiting for my signal" Massimo says and the guy look around trying to spot the hit man

I look over at Giulia with a confused look and she smiles trying not to laugh

"Luca is the hit man" she whispers and I smile

We all walk out from behind the curtain and rush over to the boat where Luca and his parents are waiting

"What took you guys so long?" Luca asks as he makes sure to stay out of sight

"We found Alberto!" I say out of breath

"Yeah! This guy is selling for almost a million dollars, well it was two-million but my dad negotiated and he brought it down to around one-million" Giulia says quickly before taking a deep breath

"Problem is Ragazzi...I don't have that kind of money..." Massimo says as he rubs one of his eyes

"Don't worry papà! We...we'll find another way to make that money!" Giulia says hopeful

"In a span of only a few minutes?" Massimo asks and Giulia looks down

"I'll pay for Alberto" Ercole says

Alright another chapter is out! Whoop whoop!

Sorry this one took so long I started a camp today so that took up most of my day today and it probably will until Friday (for me that's in 4 days, just saying this in case for some people it's already Tuesday) and then I have band camp until school starts for me so that'll also take up the majority of my day (it's from 8am- 3pm) and that starts next Monday for me

So please don't rush me to make any new chapters, I'm really trying to just get past this camp and then have a small two day break. So I'm trying to post as much as I can😅
