Chapter 14: Falling for the other

***Cussing***

~Y/n POV~

I headed downstairs to find Luca so I could talk to him, as I reached the bottom I saw said boy sitting at the table with a full bowl of pasta in front of him while Giulia was still sitting in front of him, telling him to eat

"Luca..." I say which grabs both of their attentions

Giulia stands up and walks over to me before placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder "get him to eat, I know he's starving" she quietly says to me before heading up the stairs and into her room

I look back at Luca and see him quickly look down in shame. I walk over and take the seat next to him

"Luca...look at me" I softly say as I try to meet the eyes of the sea monster boy

He slowly looks up and his eyes are red and puffy, his cheeks stained of tears and his nose red and runny

"I-I....I didn't mean to hurt him, I just...seeing him almost kiss you....it...I couldn't handle it" Luca admits as he looks back down at the table

"Luca...ok yes you did hurt Alberto and all that but Alberto isn't completely innocent either, he was just aggravating you more—" I say before Luca cuts me off

"Did you actually enjoy his kisses...?" Luca timidly asks me while facing me

"I uh....I mean..." I say and clear my throat "Um....yeah..." I mumble as it's now my turn to look down

"Do they compare to my kisses?" Luca asks

"What? Luca you haven't even—" I say before I get cut off by a pair of lips

My eyes widen and I look at Luca who's eyes are shut tightly, I resist the urge to shut my eyes and enjoy the kiss but fail and end up doing what I said I wouldn't. I kiss Luca back and feel him stiffen for a split second then relax as his arms snake around my waist and pull me closer to him and as my hands place on his chest.

We pull away from the kiss and Luca smirks "I bet Albertos kisses aren't like that" he says

I smile at Luca before reality hits me and I realize what I just did. I yelp and quickly escape Luca's arms before I begin pacing

"Oh my god Oh my god Oh my god Oh my god OH MY GOD! I'm a hoe!" I say to myself as I pull at my hair "I'm every fucking cliche Y/n hoe!" I say to myself

I'm too busy pacing and scolding myself that I don't hear Luca get up and walk over to me

"Uh Y/n?" Luca asks and I turn my head to look at him "I think you're overthinking this whole situation..." he says

"I mean I overthink anything and everything but he didn't need to call me out like that" I think to myself

"I mean or maybe I'm not...you know I've now kissed BOTH you AND Alberto and Alberto has no idea I've kissed you and I can't tell him cause he'll freak the fuck out! And plan your death!" I say to Luca as he looks down at me then smiles and leans closer to my ear

"Then this will be our little secret~" he whispers before kissing my cheek then heading towards the back door to go to the treehouse

"Buonanotte, amore mio~! (Goodnight, my love~!)" he says before closing the door behind him and leaving me to my thoughts

"I need to talk to Giulia..." I say before running up the stairs and busting into her room to see her, thankfully, still awake reading a book

"Oh hey Y/n— Why do you look so panicked?" She asks as she points to me

I quickly run over to her window and look for Luca to see he's already asleep, with a cute little smile on his face

"Dork" I think before closing her curtains and rushing over to her

"What's wro—" she starts

"I think I fell for Luca!!"

Hey guys! So I'm honestly starting to think this story is becoming very cliche and such so could you PLEASE tell if you think the same

Also how would you guys feel about a second book? (This story isn't ending for a while but I just wanna know if people would read a sequel to this that way I can plan a bit)
