Saturday. My favourite day. Isabella had invited us to her house to do homework. "What do you think of Jae?" Isabella smiled. "He's super cool. We've got a trio now." I laughed. "Yeah, we do. I think he's an awesome friend for us." Isabella commented. When Jae walked in, he had a folder. "What's that?" Isabella asked. "It's for V." Jae replied. "Oh thank God. I didn't want to do more math." Isabella laughed. "No, no we finished that." Jae laughed. "Anyway, here you go Val. Check it out." Jae smiled. I took the folder, and I was surprised to what I was reading.
"Wow. Your sister is great at writing. What's her name?" I asked. "Maddie, or for short we call her Mads. I'm glad you like her work." Jae laughed. "Though, she seems opposite to me. I like mystery stories. They're my favourite. However, she seems to like romance or comedy." I explained. "Yeah. Maybe you could keep in touch and she can give you some tips." Jae suggested. "We can invite her over. My parents aren't home until four." Isabella said. "Oh okay. I'll ring her now." Jae replied. "Wait, we aren't bothering her are we?" I asked. "No, no. She's at home. My family are still moving things." Jae explained. Jae left the room to ring his sister, Maddie. Isabella and I were still in her basement. "You okay?" She asked. "Yeah, just nervous. I've never met someone who's so good at writing." I replied. "Um! You have. You're great at writing." Isabella laughed. "I just do it for fun. She's a professional." I complained. "You're fine. You don't want to be a writer?" Isabella asked. "I have no clue what I'm going to do." I replied. Isabella just gave me a worried look.
When Jae came back into the room he did these random hand signals and gave me his phone. "Say hi."He whispered. "Uh h-hi. I'm Valentina, Val." I introduced myself. "Oh hi there! I'm Maddie, Mads whatever you like." She giggled. She was very polite. "Listen, I can't make it to Isabella's house today, but how about you guys come over to our house tomorrow? For lunch?" Maddie offered. "Oh yeah sure! Only if you're free and aren't busy." I replied. "Yeah of course. Isabella you're welcome too." Maddie said. "Oh thanks! Call me Bella, B. Jae I like her, she matches my energy." Isabella commented. Jae, Maddie and I laughed. "Alright then. I'll see you all tomorrow. Oh! By the way, Val. Keep the folder. Bring it over tomorrow." Maddie said. She then hung up. "Wow, she's really cool Jae." I smiled. "Yeah. She's awesome." Isabella smiled. "Thanks!" Jae thanked us. "How old is she? She should hang out with us at school." Isabella asked. "She's twenty. She isn't in school anymore. However, she can of course hang out with us." Jae explained. I smiled.
"Ahhh! Kill it kill it!!" Isabella screamed. There was a cockroach on the floor. "Ew, ew, ew kill it Jae!" Isabella cried. "Relax I'll get a tissue." I replied. "Kill it!" Isabella yelled. "B relax. Look it's gone now." Jae said. "Get off the couch you scaredy cat." I laughed. Isabella scolded. 'BING' My phone went off. "Val your phone went off." Jae said. "Oh, who is it?" I asked. "Your Mum. It seems important." He replied. "What does it say?" I asked. "Check." "Okay. It says, 'Come home Val. We have something serious to talk about.'" Jae read out. "Oh? Does it say what it's about?" I asked. "No. It only says it's a serious talk." Jae said. "Alright. I guess I have to leave." I replied. "Awh, okay." Isabella complained. I hugged Isabella and Jae and left to go home.
