Negligence and understanding

Amber's POV

It's been days since sir Zach immersed himself into working. He's unapproachable at laging mainitin ang ulo. I don't know what really happen to them. Basta isang araw, Ms. Ellie just suddenly called me at hinanap sya, but he can't be reach for more than 24 hours. I am trying my best and pretend to know nothing.

I always arrives first in the office before anyone else pero ngayon
kakarating ko lang ng office but the light of Sir Zach's office is already on kaya agad kong sinilip ang office nya and he's really inside. I knocked on his door at agad pumasok.

"Hindi ka ba umuwi sir?" Tanong ko sakanya habang may hinahalungkat sya sa mga files sa drawer nya at napansin ko rin ang isang baso ng alak sa ibabaw ng mesa nya.

"Ahmm I did, I just came here earlier" agad nya naman sagot.

"May hinahanap ka ba sir?" Tanong ko naman and he suddenly stop at kinuha ang alak sa ibabaw ng mesa nya but he just stare at it for long and sighed.

"Is there a problem?" Tanong ko ulit.

"Can you please get me a coffee?" He asked at binaba ang alak na hawak nya.

He seems really tired and depress kaya agad nalang akong tumango.

Agad akong bumalik dala ang coffee nya at nadatnan ko syang nakatitig lang sa wedding photo nila ni Ms. Ellie.

"Here's your coffee sir"

"Thanks Amber... Do you need something else?" He asked yet I'm still in dilemma if should I ask what I am thinking.

He just stare at me and waited for me to speak up kaya...

"Ahmm... alam ko naman po kung saan ako lulugar, but... do you mind me asking?...What's wrong with you sir?"tanong ko.
"Hindi lang halata pero naapektuhan narin kasi ang kumpanya" dagdag ko pa.

Obviously, he hesitated to spill it out, but later he did and I think he cannot bare it anymore either. Naghintay lang ako sa isasagot nya.

"I was just thinking... May mali ba sakin? Why did Ellie thought of aborting our baby?" He asked which really shocked me.

"She really did?... Ahmm... What exactly happened?" Tanong ko naman sakanya ulit.

"Belle told me that Ellie didn't plan to keep the baby... And actually thought of abortion... I just couldn't believe it...that ... that she could actually thought of doing it."

"Ahmm. Did you plan to build a family?... I mean having a baby?... Usually modern families does that..." tanong ko naman.

Sa pagkaka-alala ko, their relationship started rough either. Everything just happened unexpectedly. One day he's getting married to Zoie but the next day he married someone else.

"Isn't a blessing?" He said while his eyes started tearing up.

"Off course it is...but in your situation... especially to Ms. Ellie who's an actress, maybe having a baby isn't really her plan..." Paliwanag ko naman.
"To someone like her, they are more self conscious of their body figure, imagine how scared she was. If I were her, who isn't even prepared... I might even think of it but I know that I'm not capable either... But I'm sure Ms. Ellie choose to keep your baby, right??" Dagdag ko pa.

"Is it really that hard to become a mother? Nandito naman ako, ano bang dapat niyang ikatakot?"

"Being a mother isn't easy at all... I'm not a mother myself but I know how painful it will be...You can say that you will always be with her but that doesn't change or make things better, it's a lifetime sacrifice para sa aming mga babae." I said and I'm not even sure if that will work because... Ano ba naman ang alam nya sa pagiging babae? I sighed.
