The next couple of days the group mostly prepared for their long journey ahead, which was easy for the half-elf and the brunette as they were already adventuring to who knows at this point. Luckily the boy's teacher, being adventurous before, helped him greatly with what he needs for the trip as well as explaining the harsh reality the boy may face.
He knows that his teacher wouldn't try to scare him to reconsider the whole idea, and knew that the man that he lived with for a while and been with him through good as well as bad times, was worried about him.
"You worry too much teach." He said one day as he went on about food rations.
"I'm just trying to prepare you for whatever is out there. It's not as nice as it is around here."
"Didn't you found me once tie up into a tree?" Tommy asks as if trying to remember.
"Yeah, and you were crying out for help, right outside of town. But actually, out there they'll tie you up and do shooting practice with you."
"Well, then I'll just hope they miss then huh?" Tommy smiles up at him.
Aizawa just stared at the boy and sighs softly. "Sometimes I wonder if I should of let you stay tie up to that tree." He then proceeds to smile and ruffles the boy's hair.
Tommy chuckles for a moment before remembering that day. Bigger kids didn't like him and proceed to chase the poor boy into the woods. Only to be hunted down and tackled into the dirt and mud. Struggling and screaming as they tie him into the nearest tree. He was only eleven, and he sat out there all afternoon till the witching hours.
"You okay?" Aizawa asks noticing that Tommy had gone quiet.
Tommy slowly looks back over to his teacher.
His teacher found him than dancing lights to lead the way with a worried expression on his face. He remembers how that quickly became anger; however not at him. To whoever did it. Tommy's jaw clutched for dear life for a reason he could not give as Aizawa try to get him to explain what happened. It not like he couldn't speak their language since he was learning for a year, his body just couldn't give him an answer. Eventually, though his teacher did untie him and lead him back to the shop.
"You know I would never actually leave you to tie up to a tree right?" Aizawa tries to grab Tommy's attention.
"Huh? Sorry. I was- just..." Tommy fumble onto his words. "It's been a while since I remember the whole event. Still not sure how I should feel about it." He proceeds to rub the back of his neck.
"Probably negative emotions if you're not laughing about it now? But then again it was a bad experience, especially since it was your first year going into a school setting."
"I somehow forgot I went into a school building."
"Can't blame you. You were the only kid in your classroom. Glad we got you out of it though after those..." Aizawa sighs as he rubs the bridge of his nose.
"Pricks?"
"I was going to say situation but yeah they were pricks." Aizawa smiles before speaking again. "You know you can talk to me about your past situation, or issues right?"
"Yeah, you tell me that every time we talk about sad shit." The boy spoke annoyed as if hearing this a thousand times already.
"Just making sure. Because I know you didn't have the greatest of childhood and there's not a lot of people to talk about this sort of stuff. So..."
"I mean I have you, you gave a dame and took care of me when no one else could or would. Hell, I'll probably be dead right now if you didn't found me let's be honest here."
