Ashlynn's P.O.V

My eyes widen in surprise. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I thought you would...like...hate me...or something."
I shake my head. "I don't care."
Those three words-I could tell- caught him by surprise.
"But-"
"Shh." I pressed my index finger to his lips. " I don't care. Okay?" I gave him a peck on the lips.
He smiled. "Okay."
I pulled him into a hug. "Do you have to kill people?"
"No. I don't. I like to teleport that's all I'm going to do." He laughs.
I look up at him still hugging him. He leaned down and kissed me.
The ride was soon over and we headed home.
"Can I stay over?" Max asked.
"For sure." I smile. "Embers parents are out and Embers staying over at James's," I said unlocking the front door.
"Cool." He said strolling into the house. I laugh.
"I'm tired." I sigh and head into my bedroom.
"Ahh!" I scream as I get tackled onto the bed.
"Never leave me." Max hoped, kissing my neck.
"No worries."
•••
I woke up with an arm wrapped around my torso. I'm leaving today. Yes, my stuff had already been packed. I sat up as a tear streamed down my face.
"Hey. Hey. Are you...crying?" Max asked, sitting up on my position.
"Yes. Obviously." I sniffed wiping away a tear.
He pulled me into a hug. "It's going to be okay, Ashlynn. Don't worry. Don't worry." He tightened the hug as I sobbed into his bare chest. "I don't wanna leave."
"4 years Ashlynn. You'll be home sooner then you realize."
I smiled. "What time is it?"
"10."
"Great." I sighed. "I better get ready." I gave Max a sad smile and got up to take a shower.

Embers P.O.V
•••"Oh. I forgot." I raked a hand through my hair. "Ashlynn leaving today," I told James. "I need to go see her." I jumped up from the bed and got dressed.

Ashlynn P.O.V
•••"You take that box," I said pointing to one of the boxes.
"Okay." Max walked over to the box and picked it up.
We walked out to my van. Oh. Right. I forgot. Max bought me a van. Whoop. Whoop.
I set the box in the trunk.
"I'll be right back I'm just going to grab my suitcase."

Max's P.O.V
•••I watched her run into the house.
Vandalism time. I smirked. I took out a bottle of spray paint. I closed the trunk and started to put graffiti all over it.
I reopened it so she wouldn't see it until we closed it again.

•••"Sorry I took so long," I said running out of the house with my suitcase trailing behind me.
"It's oka-"
"Ashlynn! Ashlynn!" I turned my head to the voice that was calling my name. Two arms wrapped around my neck in a tight hug. "I'm going to fucking miss you."
"I know. I know." I hugged her back.
"Ember?" She jerked her head towards the front door of her house, where her mom was standing, she was wearing all black, eyes filled with tears. "We have to go."
"Where?"
"Your uncle's funeral."
"Wha- what happened?"
"Car crash."
Her eyes filled with sorrow.
"I'm so sorry." I sadly say.
"It's alright. Call? When you get there?"
"Yes."
"Okay." Her lip trembled. She pulled me into a hug. "I love you."
"I love you too." I tighten our hug. She let's go and heads to her front door but turns around when she reaches the first step to say, "Bye."
"Bye." A tear streams down my face, when she runs up the steps.
I grab my suitcase and put in the trunk. And Max closes it.
My eyes widen in surprise. Written on the back it wrote-in graffiti- off to college. I smiled and swung my arms around Max. Pulling him into the tightest hug possible.
"I guess this is it." I sobbed into his shoulder.
"I guess it is."
"Are we breaking up."
"I-I don't know. I don't do good with long distance relationships."
"We could like call and FaceTime or-"
"I know but- I can't."
"Why not?"
"I wouldn't be able to handle it."
"I'm going to miss you so much."
"I'm going to miss you too."
"I love you so much, Mathew Johnathan Willis."
"I love you too Ashlynn Dakota Johnson."
I break the hug but only to kiss him. Tears still streaming down my face.
"I've got to go." I cry.
"Okay."
He lets me go and I head to my car. "Bye," I say.
He waves at me. "Bye."
I get in and close the door. I look at him through the side mirror. I bite my lip the taste of salty tears fills my mouth. I couldn't take it. I got back out and ran at him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and I wrapped my legs around his waist. I kissed him. He kissed back, holding my butt to keep me up. I pulled away. Leaning my forehead on his. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay."
"Now I really have to go." I sobbed.
"I will see you again Ash."
"I know."
He dropped me to the ground. "Over FaceTime."
"Really?"
"Yes."
A smile crept on to my lips. "So we're not breaking up?"
He shakes his head. I kiss him again.
I got into my car. I started the car and drove off. Looking at him through the review mirror. I watched him bite his lip and shove his hands in his pockets. I cried and cried and cried.
