chapter 6

after hoseok left, yoongi did his homework while his father went to his work room to take some books.

those books are punishment.

whenever yoongi did something wrong, he needed to read books his father gave him. those books weren't fairy tales or comics, they are about economics and politics.

but today was different, after yoongi finished his homework, namjoon gave him books about psychology and society.

'why did dad give them to me?' yoongi thought.

"economics and politics aren't enough, you need to know about people around you when you face the world." namjoon said, already answering the question yoongi asked himself.

namjoon wanted him to be the next perfect president for his company, yoongi knew his father's purpose. but namjoon was also the only one who saved him from his terrible life, so if he didn't get into business things, he couldn't refuse.

"mr.kim, keep an eye on him and check him out when he is finished reading." namjoon said to yoongi's tutor then went out of the room.

"yes, mister." his tutor replied when namjoon already walked out of the room.

yoongi quickly finished reading all the books, they were different from the books his father gave him in the past so it still took more time than the economics and politics one.

after his tutor checked him out, yoongi left the room with his tutor and went to the living room, where his dad is watching tv.

"dad, why did you force me to read those kinds of books? even though they are useless 'cause you know, they never tell the truth about the world or they are just about the writer's own opinion." yoongi said. he sat across from his father and he drank the orange juice on the table, he knew it was his father, who told the maid to bring him a glass of orange juice.

"i wrote them, son." namjoon answered simply.

"you never told me you were so talented." yoongi said then there was awkward silence.

they didn't know anything to say right so they just sat there and waited for the other to break the awkward silence between them.

until a maid went to the living room and told them to eat dinner.

i want to say that i always put the tag bottom and top even if there is no smut because i want readers to know who is submissive in the relationship, i really hate it when i read a fanfic without smut and there is no top/bottom tag because it always make me feel like the character who i think is a top/bottom and then they act like a bottom/top, and even readers read those fanfics also make me feel unsure because they just comment "xxx is a daddy", "xxx acts like a baby boy",... i only ship underrated couples so those comments make me somehow really hurt. i don't want anyone to have the same feelings as me when they read my fanfic, hope you understand 💜
