The best part of flying is falling. You'd think it's climbing the sky like a ladder, beating your wings to the rhythm of your heart. Or maybe spreading out and soaring above the earth on swirling currents of air.
No.
The best part of flying is folding in your wings and closing your eyes. The best part of flying isn't flying at all. It's free-falling towards the earth and the terror of not knowing whether you'll survive the hit on the ground.
But every time you snap open your wings and tilt back up, beating them to the sound of your soaring pulse. And you could do it again, and again, and again, for the rest of your life- because you ask yourself the same question every time. Is stopping the fall even worth it? Is surviving even worth it? And the answer is always the same. Yes, yes it is worth it- if only to fall another day.

Three best friends-
Two opposing forces-
A world apart.
When Daniella Key underwent a sudden growth spurt and gained wings and a tail, she called it freedom. Since she had left high school and a family that barely remembered she existed, she had been trapped in a job she didn't want in a city she couldn't leave. Unfortunately, what Daniella thought was the key to her salvation was just opening the door to another cage.
Josephine Brandt loved her life. As the heir to her father's business, she was an upcoming multi-millionaire. All that changed when she was kidnapped on her way home. For the last few weeks, her body had been changing. A feline is what they called her, "All part of the plan." When she wakes up in a facility along with one of her best friends, Daniella, Josephine swears to do whatever it takes to get out.
Emilia Cruz had almost completed her training to become a special agent in the FBI when her two best friends were kidnapped. When a rogue government agency gets involved and a missing person's case turns into a revolution, Emilia promises she will find a way to bring her friends home.

Good heavens! That description doesn't even come close to doing the story justice. I'll work on it. If you like government takeovers, girls, and/or half feline/avian/canine/serpentine people, then consider voting on this story.
Many thanks and much love,
