-------Hey everyone! Sorry for the month long wait. Had a research paper in school and it literally took a month to finish it, though we didn't write the actual paper till the last two weeks. Anyway, the last half of the chapter might not make the most sense, since I was trying to portray the characters mixed feelings and thoughts. And it is a verbal fight scene, which I admit I'm not good at writings. XD Hope you enjoy the new chapter!
-SingingDream----------Bomp. Wap. Bam! I punch at a punching bag, training alone, since everyone else had something to do. My brother, Kyler, and Tony have sports, Leo is socializing with kids his own age, my parents are probably at "work," and last, but not least, Golden... he's probably out scowling somewhere. This has become everyones usual routine.
Sweat rolls down my face. After I got home from school, I had changed into a black tank top and pulled back my hair into a bad braid, getting out of my usual attire. Though, I did keep the same sweat pants on. I reel my leg back to kick the punching bag, when out of the blue, Golden comes into the gym from upstairs. Out of surprise, I fall, my butt making a thudding sound, landing so that my hands are behind me with the hope that I could prevent my head, from hitting the floor.
Golden looks down at me with mild surprise and a raised eyebrow. "Oh, so your here."
"It's good to see you too, Golden." I say sarcastically, as I get up off the ground and rub my sore hands.
Golden turns to leave but I stop when I say. "You might as well stay, since your already down here and dressed." He grumbles in response, as he was wearing a grey cut off and black sweat pants for working out.
"Fine." Golden gives in. He goes over to the treadmill, and I continue to pound on the punching bag.
Even though Golden now lives in my house, he still treats me the same. I don't think he absolutely despises me, but he still doesn't like me. He try's to avoid me as much as possible. I really thought we were starting to at least talk to each other about in May. I would like to get along with him, but I know that somehow he holds a grudge against me.
After about thirty minutes, I look over to see Golden slowing down on the treadmill. I have a random thought. If he didn't scowl all the time, he actually wouldn't look to bad. I feel my self tense up and start to blush. Oh no, Fiera! Do not think like that. I think to myself.
Golden gets off the treadmill and looks in my direction with a scowl. Any thoughts of him being "not-to-bad" looking leave my mind immediately. His facial expression turns to thought and he randomly asks. "Who was that girl you were with earlier today?"
How did he know I was with Malea today? Then I vaguely remember almost ramming into two guys this morning. Oh, that's who they were, Tony and Golden.
I think about saying 'why do you care' to Golden, but then change my mind, since he was actually indulging in a conversation with me.
"She's the new girl in school. Her names Malea." I think about telling Golden about how she handed my book to me after the popular girls had their fun, but figured he wouldn't care. "We bumped into each other when she was looking for her class." Close enough.
Golden looks at me with a weird facial expression that I've never seen him have. Then he nods his head up in understanding. We stand there awkwardly for a couple seconds till I give up and ask. "Do you want to spar with me?"
He looks at me with a lenient expression, then reluctantly replies. "I guess I might as well. I have nothing better to do."
In spite of his lenient reply I smile. Golden adds. "Don't expect me to go easy on you just because your a girl."
