"Hey baby even though I hate you"

"I wanna love ya"

"I want you!"

"And even though I can't forgive you"

"I really want to"

I walked through the halls of my school, listening to One Problem by Ariana Grande. Again, I didn't get much sleep. Plus, thinking about the situation with my mom and the talk with my brother didn't help the matter. It's going to be a while before I can truly "accept" what my parents did.

I sign out load. I need my go-to-girl! Where's Malea anyway?

Just as I have this thought, with a whoosh, someone bumps into me. Ah, what? No apology? How rude! I think slightly miffed. That's when I hear someone call my name. He places his hand on my shoulder, turning me to face him.

Taking my head phones off while having an awestruck expression, I manage to squeak out. "Ryan!?"

For all who don't know, Ryan Samson is one of the hottest guys at school, rippling muscles and all, and happens to be Astrid's boyfriend. Well.... Ex. Anyway, I've had a major crush on him since we were little. Imagine my feelings when I found out he had dated Astrid while I was gone for a half a year.

"Hey, Fiera! Sorry I bumped into you." Ryan apologized.

"Ah, it's n-n-no pr-prob." I reply, trying to keep my voice neutral, but failing miserably. Great! I'm starting to sound like Malea.

He flashes his killer smile, making me die almost then an there. Fortunately, I manage to keep myself standing. "How have you been? I haven't seen you around much." He asks.

"Oh, I've been-" Come on, Fiera! Think of something cool sounding. "-cheeky."

Cheeky!? Really!? I mentally face palm myself. I look up to see his grin widen. I feel myself start to blush. Ugh! Now he's laughing at me.

"Well, being cheeky is better then nothing."

I try to gather myself. "Uh. Yeah. Hahaha." I laugh a little too loudly and hysterically. After I'm done embarrassing myself, I say. "Well, enough about me. How are you?"

His face slightly drops for a second, but quickly recovers with a sad smile. "I'm doing ok. Surviving school and all."

He's upset about something, that's plainly obvious. It's probably about Astrid. As a cover story for Astrid's absence, The Impossible made up the story that Astrid was moving and changing schools. That probably means Ryan hasn't heard anything from Astrid.

Seeing my look of uncertainty, Ryan try's to change the subject. "Would you like to hang at lunch? We could chat more and catch up."

"Oh, yeah! I'd love to!"

Wait! I probably should have phrased that differently.

"Awesome!" Ryan says, flashing his award winning smile. With that, the warning bell rings. "Whelp. We better get going. I'll walk you to your class. You have Algebra II first hour, correct?"

"Yeah." How'd he know my first hour was Algebra? O.o

Tony

I was walking down the hall, getting ready to go to my class, when I see Golden doing the usual hiding-in-the-shadows thing he does. Actually, more like hiding in plain sight, which is kinda unusual... Unless-
