The Right Arm is a beautiful place.
It's filled with all kinds of unique people, tents are scattered around the opening between two large mountains, and the smell of it all is something that I could only describe as a euphoria. However, the only thing that's missing are the Gladers. This is my new home now, but it just doesn't feel right without all of them, especially Newt.
Harriet and Sonya had led me to a tent, one larger than the others, but it supposedly served as a medical treatment center for the entire Right Arm.
They laid me down on one of the many beds and had went out to find someone named Mary, assuming she was the doctor for the Right Arm, I didn't question it much.
Not long after, an older woman with brown hair and brown eyes had entered the tent. She wore a red long-sleeve shirt with a brown vest over it. Seeing this woman had suddenly sparked another feeling of deja vu, but I feel more comfortable with her than I did when I was first introduced to Janson.
"Hello!" She chimes, "you must be, Y/n!" I send her a small smile and nod my head, "I'm Mary." She introduces, "And I hear that you have quite the injury from...a badass fall." She chuckles and shakes her head in disappointment, I know exactly who she's quoting.
"Yeah, it's a long story-" I begin to explain, but Mary cuts in, "No worries, dear! Harriet and Sonya have already told me the whole thing, and believe me, it's not their first time dealing with WICKED's problems."
I furrow my brows at this, not their first time? "What do you mean?" I ask her, and Mary moves to look at my ankle, answering my question while she examines it. "Harriet and Sonya used to be WICKED's subjects as well, they were in Group B. Their maze was filled with nothing but girls, except for one boy. I can't remember his name exactly, but..."
Mary's voice trailed off as I suddenly thought back to my conversation with Aris, when he explained why he was alone back in WICKED's facility. Could they have all been in the same maze together? If so, then I hope that the Gladers and Aris find their way here soon.
"Well, dear." Mary begins, "Luckily your ankle isn't broken, but it is sprained." She then moves to the tables behind her, grabbing a role of bandages. "Since you've already walked a great distance alone on this, I'm not gonna stop you from doing anything. But I do ask that you rest it every now and then, just to give your ankle a break."
I nod my head in understanding, I'm sure that I'll be giving my ankle much more rest than it actually needs. Just as Mary was cleaning up her equipment and putting away some things, someone else walks in.
An older man with light-brown hair, and some slight greys, the same went for his mustache and beard. He wore a brown jacket with a grey sweater underneath, and then surprisingly another blue shirt underneath that. How are so many people wearing layers in the Scorch?
"Vince!" Mary exclaims, "How can I help you?" Vince puts his hands on his hips, "I just wanted to check in on our new arrival. Harriet and Sonya haven't shut up about her." The two adults laugh, and I must've missed how excited Harriet and Sonya are to have me here. Especially since we've all been through WICKED's torture.
Vince then moves over to me, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "It's, Y/n? Right?" He asks, and I nod my head. "How are you feeling?" I glance down to my ankle for a moment before looking back up to him, "I feel fine now, my ankle is a little annoying, but other than that everything seems okay."
"Oh! How could I forget?" Mary suddenly says, and she quickly looks through the equipment on the tables. Eventually, coming back to me with a bottle of water and a pill. "Take this, honey. It will help ease the pain."
