Vince comes back out and tosses each of us a gun, handing me a sniper rifle which I am very excited to use. "Find Harriet and Sonya at the truck, they should already be there." Minho goes to say something to Vince when I choose to go ahead and take off, not even thinking of the trouble I may find myself in.
Reaching the center of The Right Arm, it doesn't take me long to find the WICKED guards in their familiar black uniforms holding their electric shock guns. They seemed to be shooting people down one by one, a terrifying sight to see when you know what WICKED is capable of, I wanted to stop them as fast as I could.
"Y/n! Over here!" Harriet's voice shoots out, and I look over my right shoulder to see her and Sonya with two sniper rifles as well, they stood on either side of an old beat up truck that had a full blown machine gun set up in the bed of it. "I hope you know the plan!" Sonya yells to me as I crouch down next to her, "Shoot anyone in a WICKED uniform, got it!"
Vince and the boys join us in a matter of minutes, getting on either side of the truck to guard every possible weak spot we had on us. So far I've shot two guards and I'm hoping that the numbers keep going up, wouldn't that be something fun to keep track of.
The chaos emitting from around me is nonstop in every direction I look, The Right Arm was practically the beginning to another apocalyptic event, one wrong shot to something and we might have another Flare on our hands. "Hope you can shoot two guns at once!" I hear Vince say to someone, and I look over for a split second to see him tossing a pistol to Minho, who already has a pretty big gun in his hands.
"Dammit! Y/n cover me!" Sonya suddenly yells, and I pull my attention back just to see her running behind me and reloading some ammo into her gun. We're all lucky that she said something because I have two WICKED guards heading straight for the truck on our side. I cock my gun and look through the optic, steadying myself and trying my best to breathe through my ragged breaths, and once I've found my balance. I shoot.
It takes me a minute to realize that both guards have been shot down, but I've only taken one shot, it would've been nearly impossible for my bullet to hit both of those guards at the same time. I then feel a hand on my shoulder and I look up to the bed of the truck, "Don't worry love, I got your back." Newt says to me with a smirk, and I give a relieving smile before turning back to the chaos in front of me that Sonya has luckily joined once again.
It doesn't take me long to realize that the machine gun Vince was controlling is no longer on a shooting spree, "What's happening up there?" I yell, too busy to actually look back and see what was wrong. "Vince!" Newt yells, "Hurry up! There's too many of them!" There was no arguing with that, WICKED's guards were becoming too strong and too much, my fear was coming back. Losing to WICKED now would have worst consequences than the maze, somehow, I knew that was definite.
"I'm out!" Frypan suddenly yells, and I knew that our doom was mere seconds away from literally smacking us in the face. I was almost out as well and it seemed like Vince wasn't getting any luck with the machine gun.
I finally look up to the bed of the truck and see a flying object with a blue light flashing off of it, "Look out!" Newt shouts to the group, and his voice is the last clear thing I'm able to hear before my body goes into complete shock and I fall to my side with a sharp ringing coursing through my head and ears.
This is it, I thought.
We've lost.
The small amount of consciousness left in my body is used to forcefully put me back on my feet and get trudged over to the center of The Right Arm, where WICKED was placing everyone in small blocks of people, separating them by something I cared less to think of right now.
I got placed in between Aris and Fry, Newt was farther down in my line with Minho, I knew that if I even moved a muscle to be closer with him I would probably get my head blown off, and I'm not risking anything at this point. Sonya was one who somehow got the chance to run, but it seems like she didn't make it far as a WICKED guard was pushing her in front of us and sitting her down on the other side of Aris.
