It just works...

It was a regular day. Winter was coming in soon and you decide to head out to the guild.

(Y/N): *stretching* I gotta get to the guilt... Maybe do a few quests? You know what I'm too lazy today frick that.

You got on you're everyday clothes, cause wearing armor all the time tires you out.

(Y/N): Mornin Wiz!

Wiz: Oh, good morning.

She said in a happy tone. She hung around you so much that she no longer felt nervous around you.

(Y/N): How are the stocks?

Wiz: Hm, not well. I invested a bit of money into things but no one ever seems to buy anything.

(Y/N): I see. Well, what exactly did you buy?

Wiz: Well...

She shows you some pretty odd things. Stuff that not many people would buy.

(Y/N): Maybe you should try and invest in things more useful?

Wiz: Like what exactly?

(Y/N): Like potions or rings maybe. Or maybe some hats? I would love a cowboy hat.

Wiz: What's a cowboy hat?

(Y/N): Ah it's nothing. I gotta go now! Bye!

You walked out the door.

Wiz: Come back soon sweetie! Wait, what did I just say?!

Luckily for her, you didn't notice.

You went to the guild and saw your good ol party members.

Kazuma: Well you're here later than usual. And where's your armor?

(Y/N): I don't feel like doing quests today. I do quest just about every day, and boy I need a break!

Megumin: I hate to see you wear yourself out all the time! You should really stop overworking yourself, sir.

(Y/N): There's that sir again. Yeah, I guess you're right. But the Dragonborn never rests, as long as there are still quests to be done.

You look to your right and hear an oddly familiar voice.

???: And then I said," who's laughing now?!"

It was a man in a wizard's robes. He looked like some kind of holy wizard. Or a... god.

He turned around to reveal a face from home.

(Y/N): N-no way...

Todd: Can I help you?

(Y/N): Y-you're Todd Howard!

Todd: Wait, how do you know me?

(Y/N): You're one of the directors at Bethesda!

Todd: Someone else from Earth?!

The other party members around you were confused.

Darkness: Who is this you're talking to?

(Y/N): I-it's Todd Howard!

Kazuma: Todd Howard? You mean that one game designer? What's he doing here?

Todd: It's a long story...

You all sat at a table where you were all eating your lunch.

Todd: Okay... So it won't make much sense to the others that didn't live on Earth so bear with me...

*flashback to Earth*

Todd: After how many bugs we had in our games, people made fun of Bethesda Game Studios. I ended up getting full of myself anyways. Even though we had so many bugs our games still got popular.

Todd: A-and again, it just works...

After the release of Fallout 4, we quit caring as much.

Todd: We're using a new game engine so virtually anything is possible...

And soon, I lost control. With power. I quit caring as much.

We made overpriced mods for Skyrim and Fallout 4 called creation club.

People kept on complaining. But we didn't care. We just ignored them and kept on making mistakes.

We eventually came up with Fallout 76 as a quick cash grab. It got so much criticism, but we just didn't care.

Todd: People will buy anything...

After that, we were working on starfield. We had it exclusively on X-box and PC. So most people could play it.

It didn't work out anyway, no one played it and it sucked.

This was written before starfield came out so don't be mad if none of this stuff is accurate.

We had invested so much money into it! And it just didn't work... We weren't perfect... No one is...

Then after all the complaints, we had so little money that we couldn't complete The Elder Scrolls 6. We thought that the only solution was to release what bugged mess we had and let the modding community fix it.

The complaints we had were very severe. The only people who could buy it played PC and they didn't like it at all. It failed miserably and we had not enough money to bring us back up.

Bethesda game studios had failed, and all I had was nothing... I just wanted to end it all! For I had nothing! *sob* I'm not perfect... *sob sob* It doesn't just work... *sob*

So I did what seemed logical. I was drunk and I had a gun in my hand...

*pow*

But thats when things started looking up. I wasn't in my room. I was in some weird empty looking void. A kind girl came up to me, her name was Eris and she was some goddess. She gave me one wish and sent me here for another chance.

Todd: I-i wish for things to just work! I want to be powerful and have a perfect life!

*end of flashback*

(Y/N): Thats... That's deep. I'm sorry man.

Kazuma: Things must be hard for you.

Megumine: I'm confused but I still feel your pain.

Todd: It's okay. I'm fine now. So how did you two get here?

(Y/N): Cancer. The chemo didn't work I guess.

Aqua: Oh! Get this! He died from-

Kazuma immediately covered her mouth.

Kazuma: Shut up!

(Y/N): They're always like that. Yeah man, Skyrim was what helped me through the pain.

Todd: I'm glad to hear it.

(Y/N): Turns out, I wished to be Maxed out Dragonborn...
