Santana's point of view

Group therapy wasn't working out so I decided to make the groups smaller. Starting with Rosè and Hajoon, the whole group hates Hajoon but if I can get some sibling insight i maybe able to help.

Me: Rosè you have two big brothers, Felix and Hajoon. When I say that statement how do you feel?
Rosè: I want to correct you and say one older brother which is Felix but if I do that you might grab your belt again.

True dat.

Me: Hajoon how does that make you feel?
Hajoon: That's how little sisters are.

I disagree, he thinks this is harmless sibling bickering when in fact it's not.

Me: Have you ever told Hajoon how you felt?
Rosè: He wouldn't care, he doesn't care about anyone but himself. It's like talking to a brick wall.
Me: You may feel that way but have you ever tried?
Rosè: There's no point in trying when I know the outcome.

He scoffs.

Hajoon: Even my own sister assumes she knows me, that's the problem; people judge me before they even get to know me. So when they do try to talk to me I give them what they were already suspecting.

Interesting.

Me: Is that like a defense mechanism?
Hajoon: I guess.
Me: Growinh up you and Felix were really inseparable, what happened?

For the first time his poker face drops.

Hajoon: Nothing.
Me: Nothing? Okay.

You can't push someone to talk about something, it'll backfire and do more harm than good.

Me: Would you say you're close with anyone right now?
Hajoon: I've built trust with Leedo.
Me: Is it because he understands what it's like to be misunderstood.
Hajoon: Exactly.

Rosè rolls her eyes.

Rosè: It's nothing to misunderstand, you're spoiled and narcissistic. You don't care who you hurt or what you say.
Hajoon: Precisely little sister.

He doesn't mean that. I've watched these kids grow up, with a mother and father like Hongjoong and Char this isn't what he's turned into at all.

___

"And then she blamed me for having another girl."

I blink unamused at my Godson.

Hwasang: Can you believe that?
Me: Has anyone ever told you telling too much of the truth can be a bad thing?
Hwasang: No.
Me: Okay good because I just made that up. You can be honest with these young ladies without being so vulgar, besides have you ever tried being in a relationship?

He shakes his head.

Hwasang: A waste of time and it'll end with either of us getting hurt.

These kids assume a lot.

Me: From experience?
Hwasang: Nope but I've seen it happen.
Me: And you have also seen it not happen with your parents.
Hwasang: They're a rare case.
Me: Me and Monsta-x?
Hwasang: Rare case.
Me: Yuta and Elena?
Hwasang: Rare.
Me: Char and Hongjoong?
Hwasang: Rare.
Does he know what rare means?

Me: Saelee and San?
Hwasang: A miracle.

I chuckle. That's so true.

Me: I do believe you'll find someone that'll make you take the risk of being hurt. This is your Godmom talking not the therapist, I won't lie and say you'll never get hurt because you probably will. But I can say you'll never go through it alone because we'll always have your back.

___

I stare at the twins who both look conflicted.

Me: Leedo you mentioned not telling the truth to Keeho because you didn't want him to feel guilty.
Leedo: Yeah.

Keeho glances at his brother.

Leedo: Growing up I might've been a bit much but I'd never describe myself as violent.

Me either.

Leedo: But when the thought of them hurting him came across my mind I lost all senses.
Me: You love him so you want to protect him, so explain this Jisoo situation.

He shrugs.

Leedo: We messed around when we were younger, I never told Lee because I felt bad we had a crush on the same girl and she chose me. However, getting out of jail and hearing about her and him confused me. I don't know if it's coincidental or malicious.

Keeho doesn't say anything.

Me: How do you feel towards Jisoo now?
Leedo: No feelings, I just don't want her to hurt him.

This reminds me of the time San thought he was protecting Wooyoung by sleeping with Jandi because she was crazy.

Sweet gestures, but very toxic ways.

Me: Keeho do you hate your brother?
Keeho: Of course not. He just pisses me off and gives me anxiety sometimes.
Leedo: Do I give you anxiety because you think I would hurt you?

Keeho nods slowly.

Leedo: I'd never do that!
Keeho: You were always messing with me when we were younger then as we got older you turned meaner, then the stabbing happened. I was petrified.

The hurt flashes clear as day across Leedo's face.

Leedo: I'm sorry.

No excuses, just an apology.

Progress.
