Rise of Voltron part 2

Selene's POV

'It is time daughter of Oliri. You must retrieve the lions before Zarkon gets his hands on them, or in this case us.' Who is talking to me? "Selene, wake up!" Keith? "Is she ok?" Pidge? "Why won't she wake?" Shiro? I tried opening my eyes, when I heard a gasp. "I think she is waking up." I felt my eyes flutter open and saw the worried faces of my friends. Keith had my head on his lap. "You ok? You just fainted out of no where." I nodded my head and got back on my feet. I saw Allura looking at me with worry. "Are you alright?" I nodded my head. "Are you really my mom's sister?" She nodded her head, she then pulled out a locket and opened it, which revealed to be a picture of her and mom. "That confirms it. You're my aunt. Also, what did I miss when I was out?" Shiro filled me in on the fact that the Galra leader, Zarkon, is somehow still alive after all this time. And that he is looking for Voltron because it is the only thing that can stop him. "We better find the rest of the lions first then." We were still sitting in the cryo pod chambers. Coran was trying to get Allura to eat. "Please, princess you must eat. It's been 10,000 years." She only responded saying she wasn't hungry. "Man, 10,000 years? That's like one thousand plus ten." Apparently Lance has no math abilities. "It's times ten." Keith told the cuban boy. "Whatever dropout." Now they were glaring at each other. Hunk then started to eat the food goo that Coronavirus brought for Allura. I was walking around the chamber marveling at the technology. I then heard squeaking from Allura's pod. I walked over and saw four Altean mice! My mom told about these guys and they are so cute. "Allura, you're not the last Alteans. Look." She came over and saw the mice. "Also, you have me. And somewhere my mom. I know she is alive, I just know it. And when we find her we can have a celebration." Allura's eyes filled with tears and she gave me a tight hug. "Thank you, wait, I never got your name." I smiled at her. "It's Selene. And how about a proper introduction. The short one is Pidge. The one wearing the yellow shirt is Hunk, you already met Lance." The said boy pouted. "The one with the scar is Shiro and the one wearing red is Keith." Allura smiled. I'm glad I could somewhat make her feel better. Then an alarm went off.

The control panel showed a Galra battle cruiser heading towards us! "A Galra battleship has set its tracker to us!" Coran exclaimed. "How did they find us?" Allura asked now holding the mice. "I'm not sure, but I bet it's Keith's fault." Really Lance, now? "Say whatever you've got to say to make yourself feel better." Keith responded. I walked up to them and pushed them away. "Focus! We have to find a way to get rid of that Galra cruiser before it destroys this planet." Shiro backed me up luckily. "Selene is right, we have to start acting like a team. How long before they arrive?" Shiro asks Coran. At their speed? Oh, well, carry the two... I'd say probably a couple of days." Ok we have some time. "Goo. Let them come! By the time they get here, you six will have reformed Voltron, and together, we will destroy Zarkon's empire!" Now that is what I'm talking about! "Allura, where do we start?" We then followed her to the main control center. She stood in the center and a light shone upon her. "King Alfor connected the lions to Allura's life force. She alone is the ket to the lions' whereabouts." Coran tells us. Then a holographic image of the universe spreads around the room. "These are coordinates. The Black Lion looks like it's in the same location as the Blue Lion." Pidge was right. Both lions were on Arus. "Look at your primitive synapses firing away in their little brain cage." Ok, now I know why mom said Coran was odd. "Very observant. That's because the Black Lion is in the castle." Allura told us. "To keep the Black Lion out of Zarkon's hands, King Alfor locked it in the castle. It can only be freed if the other five lions are present." Now that is smart. But, why that much security? "As you have found, the lions choose their pilots. It is a mystical bond and cannot be forced. The quintessence of the pilot is mirrored by their lion. Together, they form something greater then science can explain." Allura told us. I looked at the others and saw their auras. They matched that of the lions! "Selene please come here." I gulped and walked towards my aunt. "The Purple Lion is the armor of Voltron, it is the heart. Its pilot must be someone worthy of love and fighting capabilities. Also, the paladin is able to sense other auras which increases their fighting ability. The paladin must be of someone who is born with a pure soul. Also, able to communicate with the lions. Selene, you will pilot the purple lion." I felt my eyes widened as the holo image of Purple come to me.
