Castle Rescue

Selene's POV

Allura decided to throw a party for the Arusians since the castle had been on their planet for so long. I didn't like the idea, we still don't know if Sendak and his crew were on the planet. I was watching the Arusians put on a show about how we defeated the robot monster. "The monster fell from the sky! It was an epic battle, but Voltron was victorious!" But the Arusians acting as Voltron fell instead. "No. I said, "Voltron was victorious!"" Then the Voltron Arusians stood back up, and the monster Arusians fell. All the Arusians cheered and I was trying hard not to laugh. Allura walked up to the Arusain King. "Thank you, your majesty, for that wonderful production. It saddens me we must leave tomorrow, but we must continue our battle with Zarkon and spread peace throughout the universe." I dropped me smile and walked away, with Galaxy following right behind me. I then realized I was in Purple's hangar.

"Why aren't you at the party?" I then realized I was in the psychic realm where I talk to the lions. "I-I just don't know if throwing a party is the best idea. I understand that it's a thank you to the Arusians, but, we still don't know where Sendak is." Purple lowered her head to me. "I understand, but you are still a teenager, enjoy your time." I smiled and hugged her head. I then let my psychic return to my body. I then saw Galaxy looking up at me, I then saw a ball near the little house I built for Galaxy. "Wanna play fetch?" Galaxy barked and teleported to the ball, then teleported back to me. "Wanna play too Purple?" She nodded her head, and laid down so she could batt the ball with her tail. We then played for a while until I heard an explosion. Galaxy then came up to me and we teleported to the explosion, I then saw Coran barely conscious. "Coran wake up!" He then slowly stood up.

I started to cough because of all the smoke, but then I heard the others enter the room. "What happened?" Shiro asked. "I don't know." The smoke started to clear only to reveal the crystal was destroyed and Lance was unconscious. I ran up to him and checked his pulse. "Its still going, but we need to heal him and soon." Allura then told me that we can't use the cryo pods without the crystal to power the castle. I then closed my eyes and focused on Lances' wounds, and they started to slowly get better. "Selene, you've inherited your mother's healing powers!" Allura told me. "Yeah but until I master it, it won't be enough. Where can we get another crystal?" But then the Arusian king came in with worry etched onto his face. "Lion warriors, out village is under attack! We need help!" Keith then told us that we should get to the lions, but they are still in their hangers, and without power we can't leave. Coran then got off of Hunk, who he was using as a support beam. "We have to get a new crystal to get the castle working again. But, to get a new crystal we need a ship." Coran said.

"The pod I was loading, we can use that! I left the bay door open." Wait was Pidge going to ditch us to find her dad and brother?! "I can use the scanner in the pod to see if there's a Balmera nearby. Hunk, you come with me. I'll need someone big to help me carry the crystal." What was a Balmera? Then I vaguely remembered my mom telling me about a magnificent creature who could make crystals, I guess the Balmera is it. Hunk asked what it was. "It's where the crystals come from. I'll tell you about it on the way!" They soon left. "I'll go see what's happening at the Arusian Village." Keith spoke. "I'll go with you, Keith. I brought this on the poor Arusians." Shiro then told us that he would tend to Lance and watch the castle. I then touched Galaxy and we teleported to the pod area to see Hunk and Coran leaving, but Pidge was still there. "So, when were you gonna mention that you were leaving?"

She turned around to be met by my crossed arms. "I'm sorry, but, I saw an opportunity and I took it." I shook my head and knelt down to her height. "Pidge, I'm worried about my mom too. But we need you, remember the Green Lion picked you. And the more aliens we free, the closer we may get to your dad and brother." She teared up and hugged me. "I-I'm sorry I just miss then so much." I hugged her back and smiled. All of a sudden the room lit up purple, but it was Galra purple! "Uh oh." Pidge and I said in unison. Then we heard Keith. "Keith, can you hear me?" Pidge asked him. "Pidge, is that you? Where are you?" I could hear the worry in his voice. We started to sneak around. "I'm inside the castle with Selene. Sendak has taken over and he's preparing for launch. He's got Lance and Shiro." Pidge said. Then we heard Allura. "Pidge and Selene, listen. If they've started the launch sequence, then we don't have much time before liftoff to stop it." That sucks! "What do we have to do?" I asked. "You and Pidge have to get down to the main engine control panel and disconnect the primary turbine from the central energy chamber." Pidge then pulled up a map showing us where to go.
