Selene's POV

We made it back to the castle and walked to the bridge where Coran was waiting for us. "Pidge, scan the download from the ship. Find out where Zarkon's central command is." Shiro told Pidge and she got right to it. "On it!" Coran than walked towards Keith, Lance, Shiro and myself with a worried look. "What happened? Where's Allura?" I saw a reluctant look in Shiro's eyes. "They captured her. She sacrificed herself to save me and the information. I didn't have a choice." Shiro told Coran with a strict tone. "How is that possible?" Coran backed up a bit. "Coran, I'm sorry things didn't go as planned, but we can't focus on what went wrong. We've got to figure out how to make it right. Pidge, anything?" Shiro asked the green paladin. "Guys, look at this." We all looked up at the screen, it showed the central command, and it was huge! "Look at that! It's huge!" I yelled. "I think we should go in right away. Every minute we waste gives Zarkon time to prepare for us." Pidge told us. "I agree. We form Voltron, fly in, fly out, and dust off our hands, and walk away." Lance put his input in. 

"Um, do you guys not remember the Balmera? We could barely take out one fleet. But this... a base this size could hold a thousand fleets!" Hunk told us. "Or maybe we shouldn't go on this mission at all. Think about it. We'll be delivering the universe's only hope to the universe's biggest enemy." I felt my heart skip a beat at Keith's words. "But, we can't leave Allura there! We're a team and we don't leave a teammate behind." I told my boyfriend. "Keith, that's cold, even for you. What if it was one of us? What if it was Selene?" I could see Keith tense at the last part to Hunk's question. "You wouldn't leave Selene, would you?" Hunk asked the red paladin. "No, I would never, but it's a big risk. I'm just thinking like a paladin." I let my head fall a little, and I decided to walk out of the room.

Keith's POV

We all watched as Selene left the room with her head held low. "Nice going, Keith. You're just thinking about yourself." Lance scolded me. Pidge then tried to interfere. "Okay, we're all upset because we lost Allura." Then Coran said something I didn't like. "No, Shiro lost Allura!" Hunk then raised his hand a bit. "Okay, okay! This isn't helping. We can't just sit here and bicker like this." Hunk was right. "Let's focus. How are we going to get Allura?" Shiro asked, but we didn't know yet. I took my helmet off and went to find Selene, but Shiro grabbed my arm. "Let her be alone for now." I wanted to say something, but I knew he was right. 'I'm sorry, Selene.'

Selene's POV

I was walking to Purple's hangar, I needed someone to talk to. I enter and saw Galaxy and the mice there. Galaxy noticed me first, and came bounding over to me. "Hey girl." I knelt down and scratched behind her ear. "What's the matter, Selene?" I heard Purple ask me. I let my mind go the the lions realm, and I saw Purple sitting there. "We lost Allura to the Galra, trying to get some information on how to take down Zarkon. Keith wants to stay here and let Allura be the Galra's prisoner. I know he didn't mean it like that, it just..." I trailed off and I sat down in front of Purple. "I understand that you're worried about your aunt, but don't forget that Keith wants to protect you and make you happy. He just doesn't want to lose you." I sighed. "I know, it just hurts." I walked up and sat on Purple's paws. "Did mom ever feel this way?" I asked Purple. "Yes. She was around your age probably, and she lost a friend to an enemy. She wanted to save him, but your grandfather didn't want to lose her." I let out a small gasp. "Really? What happened?" I asked. "Your mother followed her heart. She successfully rescued her friend, but managed to gain a new scar. Remember Selene, follow what you believe is right." Purple told me. I smiled and let my mind wander back to the real world. "Thanks girl." I then ran to the bridge. I entered and saw Keith look at me. "I'm sorry, Selene." I smiled and hugged him tightly.
