The Luna101: Book 1

Aracna

                               
"Should I give Reya anything to eat?" I ask Ember.
"Oh! Don't worry about her! She'll catch some mice in this dusty house!" she answers.
I nod.
"Okay! So, we can't stay here forever. We need to go and fight." says Ivy, bringing us back to reality.
"We're supposed to fight 6 to like, 20,000 video game characters, yeah, that's not gonna work." says Jayden sitting down in the seat to the left of me.
"No no no. We are not going to fight the video game characters just yet, we are going on a quest for something that will help us destroy them." Says Ember setting down her fork.
Ivy leans forward.
"Before we go on this quest I need to explain some back story to you that I should have explained a while ago." Ivy says.
Ember nods as she cuts a piece of her egg off with her fork.
"I'll do it. You know i'm better at telling stories." says Ember, putting her fork down yet again.
Ivy crosses her arms but doesn't argue.
"Okay, where to start... Ah yes. You all know about the computer that turned all these people into video game characters, right?"
We all nod.
"Well, that computer, otherwise known as "Luna101" wasn't always a computer." she pauses as to let the words sink in.
"The Luna101 started off as a woman. She was an evil woman and she wanted to take over the world. Her name was Ariana but she preferred to go by Aracna. Her plan was to gather an army and have them fight against The Resistors; they were the ones that were fighting back. But not everything went as planned. The Crimson Sisters hatched a plan to get rid of Aracna. So they turned her into a computer."
"What?" Says Alicia.
"Let me finish my story." Says Ember.
"The Crimson Sisters made a small potion which could turn her human again if for some reason we needed to. They hid it in a jungle and set up obstacles to get there. And they felt satisfied with their work. But they didn't know that Aracna would figure out a way to turn people into her slaves. She turned them into video game characters as you know. And now she is having her most powerful slaves go out and get the potion." Ember looks down at her hands.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
She looks at me.
"Her most powerful servant is your brother."

I look at her.
"So... is she sending him to go retrieve it?"
She nods.
"Then shouldn't we go and start the quest?!" I ask.
"Well, we need to know if all of you will be willing to do it." says Ivy.
"I am." I say.
"I am too." says Jayden.
"Why not?" says Alicia.
We all look at Samantha.
"Sure, whatever." she says.
"Then let's go!" I say.
"Woah woah woah! Not so fast, young lady!" Says Ivy standing up.
"First of all, Alicia is wearing a dress, you are wearing a sweater and skinny jeans, Jayson is wearing a fancy top shirt thing, and Samanthat is wearing a skirt. Second of all, you have no weapons or food or water or disguise or plan. And-"
"Okay okay! I get the point! We go change, get some weapons, some food, water and the plan is simple." I say.
"What is your plan?" She asks.
"Simple, we get through the obstacles and get the potion thing and BOOM where done." I say.
"Just go change."
5 minutes later we all meet up again at the kitchen.
"Okay. I'm going to quickly teach you some spells to help you." says Ivy leading us to the living room.
"First one is called blast, it's quite simple," she says.
You just focus on something and imagine it blowing up" She says, closing her eyes.
Alicia shreks as the couch explodes behind her.
"Repair" Says Ivy waving her hand.
The couch pieces instantly fall back in place like a bizarre puzzle.
"Try the blast one first and then I can teach you how to repair it" says Ivy.
She waves her hand again and a clay vase appears in front of each of us. I close my eyes and concentrate hard on the clay vase in front of me. I imagine it blasting apart.
"Blast," I whisper.
Nothing happens. Then suddenly I hear an explosion. I open my eyes amazed. I look at my vase. It is completely intact.
"Nice work Jayden!" I hear Ivy say.
I look over and sure enough, his vase has exploded. I give him a small smile. I concentrate harder. And it happens. It explodes. We work on a majority of other spells for some time before Ivy says that we are finally ready.
"Lets go get that potion"
