The Luna101: Book 1

The Train

"so where is our destination again?" asks Samantha.

"I already told you, we are heading to San Francisco first and stopping there for a break and then we are heading to The Caves" I say my voice shaking slightly as I say "The Caves".

"Oh, why do we have to go to the caves?" Says Samantha.

"Something in me said that we have to go there" Says Alicia.

"Ok"says Samantha.

We walk in silence for a little longer until...

"were here" says Alicia pointing at a train stop.

"oh no! It's starting to rain!" says Samantha.

I look up and realize that she is right. I have a sudden urge to stick my hand up to the sky like some weird fool but catch myself before I do it.

"Come on let's get under here!" I say pointing at a small structure that looks like it was made to get under when it rains.

We run over and huddle together under the structure thingy. It immediately stops raining.

"really!" Says Alicia.

"Wow" Says Samantha.

I look to where she is pointing and can't help not letting out a gasp.

"It's beautiful!" I say.

The train has finally arrived and it is the most beautiful train I have ever seen. The base colors are marble and violet. It looks old fashioned but modern at the same time. A tall conductor sticks his head out the window and says,

"Come on up!"

Alicia and Samantha immediately walk forward but I hesitate before following closely behind them.

We each hold up 20 dollars and the person at the front accepts them. We get on board. I gasp. inside are rows and rows of fancy seats go all the way down in two rows.

"wow!" Saya Samantha.

We settle for a row in the back so we can talk unheard. A waitress comes to us with a tray full or pastries. She is a rather plump woman with amber waves of hair and shockingly green eyes.

"Would you like anything my dears? I have...Croissants, Chocolate Croissants, Eclairs, Biscuits, Scones, Pies, Gallets, Cinnamon Rolls, Sweat Crepes, One Kolache, Macarons, Muffins, Pan Dulce, and... Poppy seed Rolls. What do you want?"

I am too stunned to speak. I finally recover from my shock as Samantha says,

"I'll have a Scone and a Chocolate Croissant."

The waitress hand them both to Samantha.

"I'll have some Sweat Crepes." Says Alicia.

She hand them to her.

"How about you dear?" She asks.

"Um... I'll have a Muffin and a small Pan Dulce." I say

She hands the Muffin and a not small Pan Dulce over to me.

"thanks" I say.

I decide to start with my Muffin. The second I bite in its like as if a warm blanket is wrapping around me. The Muffin is perfect. Samantha hands me the butter and I spread some on my Muffin. The melted butter uzes into my mouth as I take my next bite. Before I know it my muffin is gone. I pick up my Pan Dulce. I bite in.

"So good!" I say through a mouth full of the Pan Dulce.

Just like before the Pan Dulce is gone before I know it.

"hey look outside!" Says Alicia.

Outside I can see a big sign that says:

Welcome to SAN FRANCISCO

"We made it!!" Says Samantha.

"hey! Why isn't the train stoping!" I say.

"CONDUCTOR STOP THE TRAIN!!" I yell.
