Would You Be Mine Again

~Seventeen~

I woke up hearing the knock on my door. It must be Steve,maybe he needs something. I quickly stood up to my door. "Good morning Steve. Do you need anything".
"Good morning Nelly,I wanted to let you know I prepared breakfast".
Steve was a very sweet and caring guy.
"That's nice of you,I'll be there in 5".
He smiled and left. I washed my mouth and went to the dinning. He made Noddles.
"I'm not really a good cook Nelly,but I'm good at cooking noodles". He chuckled while taking a handful of noodles.
"It's fine Steve. I appreciate your help".
We ate in silence. It was very awkward having Steve prepare breakfast for me. I remembered when Rowan and I decided to make cup cakes. He was in charge of it,we ended up turning it to black cupcakes. I smiled remembering how we usually has fun together.
"Are you okay Nelly?". Steve asked.
"Uhmn,I'm fine. Just remembered something".I said standing up as I was done eating.
"Is it Rowan?". How did he know I was thinking of him. Who the fuck won't know I was thinking of him now.
"Yes, everything just seems to remind me of us. I mean of him". I corrected myself since there's no 'US'.

Steve made sure to help me get over Rowan real quick but it wasn't as easy as it looked. Steve always gave me a shoulder to cry and lean on. He made it his duty to always check up on me. He would call me at midnight and we'll laugh over every single joke he made.
I haven't seen or heard from Rowan for 2 months now. Good,he didn't even bother to check up on me. I usually saw his post on Facebook and Instagram so I knew he was still alive. I've been able to do without talking to him. I'm really doing well. Steve did a great job on that.
Drena has been back to town,like a month ago. We've been hanging out with Steve and his friends. It's been fun with people I know that cared about me. 
Steve was beginning to make a move on me. Drena was seriously advising me to date him. But I've not yet officially broken up with Rowan. I've not even spoken to him. He must have found someone else and moved on. She geared me to text him or call him if I don't want to talk to him. I was scared. Hearing he's with someone else will make me jealous even if he doesn't love me anymore.
Steve has take me out on several dates and has also proven to be a perfect guy for me. He was about taking me out on another date. He informed me a day before the anticipated date. I was confused about what to wear. I called Drena to help me look for an outfit. It was fun having her around. She came over to my house. We turned my closet upside down. She suggested I wear something not too casual. Finally it was a black gown,which stopped Midway thighs. It had sleeveless back straps. It was to be worn with my favorite black block heels.
It was the evening of my date with Steve. Trust me, Drena forced me to check Steve out. I was actually having feelings for him though but I tried to suppress it. Drena helped me get ready. She helped me with my make up. I was ready now and was already waiting for him to pick me up. In no time he came and picked me up. We talked as usual.
"Have you finally and officially ended things with Rowan?".
"No. Why do you ask?".
"Because I want to be your boyfriend. I'm in love with you". He said. I knew he has feelings for me,but I wasn't expecting it.
"You know I'm still a virgin right and I wouldn't want you leaving me or cheating on me cause I'm not ready to have sex".I explained to him.
"I know that was the reason Rowan cheated on you, trust me I'll wait for you".  I wasn't convinced though. I smiled and finished my meal. He took me to his house after which we made out. As usual,there was nothing special in it like the way it was with Rowan. But at least he made me feel good, to an extent.
I decided I was going to break up with Rowan so I could try my best and move on with Rowan. Yes,I made my decision now. Steve dropped me off at my house that night.
