Third person pov:

Walking outside with the four of them made Abby nervous, was it really going to work? After the months she's been there is she finally going home?

Home...

What is home? The nightmare she had? The family who disowned her? Or perhaps Kai was home, she wouldn't know.

"You're wondering around like a crazy man, why?" Damon asks and snaps Abby out of her thoughts. "I'm looking for the exact right spot," Kai responds and she starts walking, following him like a lost puppy.

"You're a man child with jam on your fingers and a personal pet!"

Damon's words flushed through her memories. Maybe Kai thought a pet of her? Nothing more... a burden? A toy? She didn't know and it killed her. "We need to find where the power of the eclipse is focused," she didn't really understand any of it, but just went along with them.

She wasnt the brightest button growing up that's for sure...

"You know you could've shown us the Ascendant to begin with," he says and Kai smirks. "Yeah, but I wanted to feel your hand on my chest," Abby slows down walking feeling hurt.

She looks away from Kai as anxiety starts to take over. She knew it, Kai likes Bonnie. Her anxiety grew as her anger grew too, towards Bonnie.

She didn't notice the magic she was forming until she heard Kai talking to her. "Abby stop," he just says, commanding her. She snaps out of it and looks at Bonnie, who was deep in conversation with Damon.

Kai ignored her when she calms down and starts waking again. Why was he doing this to her? "Hey, what's up with the nature walk?" Damon asks impatiently. "I used the Ascendant to figure out where we need to be standing during the eclipse," Kai says and Abby notices Bonnie looking at the paper.

"Great. Let's do some magic. Get the hell out of here," Damon says and Abby nods in agreement. "Oregon," Bonnie suddenly says. "What?" Damon answers, obviously confused.

"I've read this paper like a thousand times, there's something in it about Oregon," Bonnie says looking at Kai. "What about it?" Damon asks and Abby sees Kai smirking.

"You know Kai said he had all these brothers and sisters?" Damon hums in response and Bonnie continues. "Family Massacred in Portland, the only one missing was the oldest boy, a 22 year old kid names Malachai," Bonnie says and Kai turns around.

"Who names his kid Malachai? Like they expected me to be evil," he says and Abby smiles a little. "All these kids were murdered," Bonnie says and Abby interrupts her. "Hello? Not everyone died," she says pointing at the paper. "I had a soft spot for one of my sisters, otherwise I would've cut her lungs out not just her spleen," he says with amusement in his voice.

"What?" Bonnie asks in disbelief and Abby nods. "You can survive without a spleen," Abby points out and he pats her head, praising her. She felt appreciated again, even though it was bad what he did.

"Something tells me neither of you are speaking hypothetically," Damon says and Abby shrugs. "You don't know the whole story," she suddenly almost whispers and both Kai and Damon look at her weird.

He starts explaining what he did to them, like he told Abby when she found out. "Anyway, that was that," Kai says walking further. "You just killed your whole family?" Bonnie asks.

"Coven, to be precise," he says and no one answers. "Oh you know, a family of witches?" He asks and Damon sighs. "You're making her jump through hoops and suddenly you're a witch?" Damon asks and he shrugs.

"Sort of yeah, no powers, obviously. Oh and of course the Gemini Coven did not take it too well when they heard what I did in Portland, that's why they banished me here," Bonnie turns to Damon as Kai explains.

"This place is a prison," she says and sighs. "They created it for you," she continues and he nods. "Yup, this isn't your hell, Damon, it's mine,"

They walk back and Bonnie is obviously mad. "We're not letting Kai out of here, he just said he's a serial killer," Bonnie says storming in. "I don't care, I want to get out of here," he says and Bonnie turns around.

"How can you not care? Maybe because of the horrible things you've done? Maybe because killing a bunch of kids is not a big deal to someone who's murdered a pregnant woman," She says and sighs.

"Am I wrong?"

"I killed her because I was getting revenge on Stefan," he says and Kai sighs. "Ouch, poor nephew uncle zach," he says and I smile a little at his words. "Stefan compelled Uncle Zach to forget about the girlfriend and the baby, but he couldn't cover up all those murders,"

"The founders Council was restarted and Stefan took off, he left Mystic Falls for about 15 years, we both did," he stops for a second.

"And when I saw uncle zach again I couldn't look at him without remembering that I had ruined it all, so it was a nice relief when I got to kill him, okay can we go back now?" He asks and Abby takes a step closer to Kai.

"Oh come on Bonnie you want to go home to your friends, I want to go back and give the rest of the Gemini Coven an excruciating death, win-win," Kai says and smiles.

"Look I know this guy is not a model citizen, neither is she, okay Bonnie? But I gotta get back, not just for Elena but for my brother," he says and she looks regretful.

"I'm sorry, Damon,"

"Sorry doesn't work for me," Kai says and wants to touch her, if Damon doesn't vamp him away. Out of fear Abby reaches her hands out, but Bonnie stops her. "Don't," she warns and Abby looks at Kai. "Hey. We might be having a bit of disagreement, but don't ever lay a hand on her," he says and Kai looks at the garden.

"Kind of a non-issue now. Missed today's eclipse, raincheck for tomorrow?" He asks and Bonnie walks out. "No,"
