Love make us do crazy things

      Green... I love the color green especially this emerald green color it's part of my color pallet for sure. Something I don't like doing.. painting... absolutely hate it, of course that's what my brother has us doing as he says 'I owe him for babysitting my strange cat'. I really think he does love my cat but hates to admit it like a male pride or something where no one can see them cry I guess no one can know they have a soft spot for cats.

"Aiden, why couldn't you just hire someone to do this?" I whined for the fifth time this morning inside his home. We were currently painting is living room and the kitchen today. After this I'm not painting for another ten years.

"why pay people I don't know when I have people I do know and love who also owe me favors and I can pay with food" he said grinning from across the room while he finished the second coat on one wall.

"I'm pretty sure this is against child labor law sir" Izzy commented from her side of the room coating the other wall. Aiden said it would be quicker with the three of us if we each take a wall we'd be finished quicker. He forgot to mentioned he'd told Brooke he would finish painting as she was working and going through finals this week.

"this isn't a job this is for family" he said back. 

"okay Vin diesel " she replied not turning back to look at him. 

"you let her watch the fast and furious movies?" Aiden pointed his question at me. 

"You do remember she's not a child right" I shot back crouching down with the roller in hand carefully getting to the baseboard then coming back up.

"I'm not teaching her how to drive she'll probably try to drift my truck" 

I couldn't help but laugh knowing my sister probably would try some move from the movies.

"you do remember I do know how to drive, or did we forget who drove a certain someone to the hospital when she went into labor?" she shot a look at me 

"and I'm forever grateful darling sister" I replied placing my hand over my heart being as dramatic as I could.

"ummm... small problem" Aiden said I looked over at him looking down at what he was looking at. The empty cans of paint not another as we still had another coat to go.

"well... someone is gonna have to go and-"

"I'll do it" me and my sister shouted at the same time. 

"Izzy you don't even have a licence in this state" I said

"I could assist in the gathering of the paint" she said 

"well since you guys are set on it" he said flopping on to the plastic cover couch he reached in his back pocket and retrieved his wallet holding up to me. I grabbed it along with the paint number and my keys. 

"we'll be back" I shouted behind me

"and were getting smoothies on company's dime" Izzy shouted before shutting the front door, I can't argue with that idea of hers . we were totally getting them and maybe bring one back for dear old big brother.

Inside of Lowe's sipping our smoothies we strolled through the aisle causally.

"think we have annoyed him enough with taking our time picking the paint up" Izzy asked 

"maybe... he can hold on a little longer, hopefully he'll think twice before hiring us for a house job"   I admit sipping my smoothie that I made my brother pay for.
