Iwaizumi groaned as he turned off the alarm clock on his side-table. He placed an arm on his face to block the sun rays coming from the window.

Usually Iwaizumi gets up as soon as his alarm rings or even before that. But clearly today was not one of those days. After all he stayed up till 3 or so with his childhood best friend/ boyfriend. So obviously he had not gotten enough sleep.

After a few minutes of laying down and trying to fight his sleep, he finally got up and got ready since he did not want to ruin his perfect attendance.

Instantly when he stepping downstairs, both of his parents shouted 'happy birthday'. He was startled and would have fallen if it were not for the railing.

"Gosh you both gave me a heart attack." He said clutching his chest. His parents laughed. "Say thanks brat." His dad said smiling.

"Thank you." He said hugging both of his parents. They smiled as they hugged him back and ruffled his hair.

"Come I have a surprise for you." His mom said excited and already walking off. "This early?" Iwaizumi said as he followed his mom.

Iwaizumi's eyes widened as he walked to the dining room. A beautiful aroma filled the room. "So much food!" Was the first thing Iwaizumi said when he saw the table.

"Why do you not like it?" His dad said walking to the table after ruffling his hair again. "I-I do. But so much."

"We made your favorites. Now sit." His mom said as she gently pushed her son towards his seat. "Okay okay." He said taking his seat.

"I do not think I can eat this much." Iwaizumi said as his eyes scanned the table. "No one is telling you to eat everything right away. Eat as much as you can." His dad said patting his back.

Iwaizumi nodded. "Itadakimasu" The three said as they started eating.

"Bye mom and dad." Iwaizumi said as he put on his shoes. "Bye!" The two elders said in sync which made them laugh. Iwaizumi smiled fondly at them.

He hugged them both then he went to open the door to leave.

'Toruu would be so mad for making him wait for so-' His train of thoughts were stopped as he saw the person he was thinking about in front of him.

"Happy birthday Iwa-chan!" Oikawa said smiling with his eyes closed as he stretched his hand out to hand him a red box with a bow on top.

Iwaizumi froze in shock. Oikawa looked wonderful with the morning rays falling on him and casting shadows in just the right places. His fluffy hair flowing through the wind.

"I-I-" Iwaizumi stuttered as he turned red. Oikawa got confused so he opened his eyes as he did not get any reply. "Iwa?" He said tilting his head looking at him. That made Iwaizumi turn more red if it was possible.

"Do not mind him Toruu, come in." Iwaizumi's mom said slightly pushing her son out of the way to let Oikawa in. "Okay auntie." He said confused.

Iwaizumi always went to get Oikawa for this reason. Oikawa always looked so beautiful under the sun's rays. While walking to Oikawa's house, Iwaizumi would prepare himself for it.

"Iwaizumi is just having a fuse, do not mind him." His dad said snickering. Oikawa nodded.

A few minutes later, Iwaizumi finally snapped out of his daze. "Oi-oikawa I told you I will pick you up, did I not?" He said walking to Oikawa as he tried to calm down.
