Mias POV:
'Has Gareth posted the team sheet yet Jess?' I asked my brother nervously, from the other room. Him and a few of the other boys had come to to my house to celebrate the news we were all still awaiting.
'Not yet.' He sighed. He'd had a rough year and truly didn't believe in himself anymore, I just hoped that he was given another opportunity because he was a good player.
'Oh it's up!' Marcus shouted. The boys rushed to his phone and it was silent for a moment, as they all scanned the screen, looking for their own names. Marcus and Kyle cheered and congratulated eachother, and Jordan ran to call Kieran, who had also got a call-up. Amongst all of the commotion, I couldn't miss the emotions running through my brothers head, as he walked outside.
I followed him outside and sat beside him, on the doorstep.
'Hey.' I smiled softly.
'My career is basically over. Gareth doesn't even think I'm a good player anymore.' He sulked.
'Jesse you know that's not true. But with more and more players coming up from the academies, he's having harder decisions every tournament.' I said, squeezing his arm.
'I know, I'll support them anyway, but I guess I'll have to do that from back home.' He smiled sadly.
'It's not like we're going overseas Jess, we're staying in London.' I replied.
'We?' He asked, eyebrows raised.
'I, I uh, I think I'm going with them.' I said in a low whisper.
It was silent for a second.
'I'm proud of you, well done.' He smiled, pain in his eyes. Before standing up and walking back out to the living room. I sighed and rested my head on the doorframe.
'He means it Mia.' Jordan said, from the open doorway.
'I know.' I smiled.
'Come celebrate with us tonight? We're all going to be there. Jess is coming too.' He said, reassuringly.
'That sounds nice.' I said, standing up and hugging him tightly.
'Well done by the way, you'll be gaffer soon.' He winked.
'Not quite.' I laughed.

'Right go on get ready, I know it takes you ages.' Marcus shouted from the sofa.
'None of my clothes are here.' I replied.
'But this is your house?' Kyle said, in a duh tone.
'I stayed at Jesse's for a while remember? I'll need to go back and get it.' I said, picking up my car keys and my brothers house keys.
'I'll take you, I'm going back anyway.' Jesse interrupted from the bathroom.
'Stay here, don't break anything, I'll be back soon.' I said to the boys, putting on my shoes and heading out the door.
We were silent for a minute and I got into the passenger seat, looking at my brother as he started the car.
'Are you okay?' I asked him.
'Yes you know I am, it's just,' he sighed.
'What?' I asked.
'We'll talk about it at mine.' He replied.
'No we'll talk about it now Jesse.' I said sternly.
'I don't trust you.' He said bluntly.
'Excuse me?' I scoffed.
'With the boys I mean, I don't want you getting into any relationships, or situationships.' He explained.

'Jesse Lingard you must be joking.' I said in disbelief, making sure to slam my door a little harder as I got out of the car.
He didn't reply. I unlocked the door and walked ahead of him, towards the spare room.
'I'm not going to be there to take care of you.' He shouted after me.
'You don't need to take care of me! I'm 20 years old Jess I'll be fine, besides, I've known these boys years.' I said, picking up the outfits I though I'd need and putting them in my bag.'
'There's a few new boys this year Mia. And I don't want you messing with them.' He said sternly.
'Oh Jesse give it a rest will you! Just because you're not going, doesn't mean you need to take it out on me.' I Snapped. He was quiet and I knew I'd taken it too far.
'Jesse I'm sorry.' I stuttered, picking up my bag and walking to the kitchen, where he was sat on the side, looking at the floor.
'Are you done?' He asked angrily.
'Yeah.' I replied, trying to not step on anymore buttons. He picked up his keys and opened the door for me, I walked out and got into the passenger seat without saying a word. The car ride was just as silent, and he dropped me off at the door, not getting out of the car.
'Aren't you coming in?' I asked.
'I'm getting ready at home.' He replied bluntly.
'Oh, ok.' I said. Again, he didn't reply, instead he pulled up his window and reversed from my driveway in silence.
'Isn't he coming in?' Kyle asked from the window.
'No, he's not in the mood.' I replied, trying to hide the quarrel me and Jesse had just had.
'Come on, let me help you pick an outfit.' Kyle smiled warmly.

'Are you ready to go Mrs Instagram model?' Marcus teased, helping me up from the floor, where I had just finished doing my hair.
'Yes let's go.' I smiled.
We all squeezed into the car and I looked out of the window nervously, realising how many new people I was going to meet.
'Does anyone have any vodka?' I asked jokingly.
'Oh you'll be fine.' Jordan said, squeezing my hand. I looked him up and down and smiled.
'What now?' He asked, rolling his eyes.
'The paparazzi are going to love you.' I teased, as the car pulled up, revealing the waves of cameras, and footballers, at the venue.
