EPILOGUE:
GRAVEYARD

BECOMING AN AVENGER WAS NEVER something that Sage had ever seen herself doing. But then again, she had never seen anything other than being loyal to HYDRA, and she couldn't help but be thankful that that part of her life was in the past. She would go out everyday and talk to Malia, finally remembering to bring flowers to grave and switching them out every time they started to die. She managed to become an agent, training, going on missions, and being able to gain the trust of the Avengers―︎even Natasha who was hesitant at her first, but Sage didn't blame her. She would've been hesitant too.

And like she had promised, Maria stayed by her side the entire time. Finding out who she was was a hard task for Sage to accomplish, that was something that she had to admit. But as time progressed, she finally found out that she indeed was not alone. Maria Hill had quickly become someone she had fallen in love with, the new couple working through everything together. They trained with each other, they spent time with each other, and occasionally Maria would join Sage to see Malia's grave.

Her life had really changed for the better, and it was all thanks to the woman that had destroyed her home. Beatrix took her home from her, and then assigned Sage to kill Maria Hill. And from there. . . well, you know the story. When she had been given the chance, she took Maria with her, and the duo had traveled to the place in which her hometown had once been, now covered with nothing but grass and trees.

There was a lot that Sage still had to heal from, she knew that. And when she had to, she would take a moment to herself, and let herself heal. Even if it was only for five minutes. Sage could feel herself turning into the person that Malia had always knew she would become. And even though her ledger was covered in red, she was making it up to the world by helping take down the people that had made her life that way.

Steve hated HYDRA, that was a fact. the evil people had taken not only his best friend, but his best friend's girlfriend―︎who Sage found out was an actual angel―︎and experimented on the both of them. But even so, Steve knew that HYDRA had taken her entire family, and he knew that she deserved to have the chance to be able to make sure that they never did such a thing to anyone ever again.

Becoming a hero was never on her agenda. She didn't have the supernatural powers to be one. However, when suddenly a giant purple titan was determined to wipe out half of humanity, becoming a hero was something that Sage was going to be forced to do. Even if they lost the battle that would keep half of the universe alive, including her girlfriend.

HEY GUYS! This has been a long and very emotional journey. I knew that Malia was going to die from the beginning, and even so I still cried when I wrote her death. Sage has been through a lot, and I'm glad to see that she had the chance to redeem herself. I would also like to point out that that last paragraph is possibly not the fate of Sage in infinity war. Because to be honest with you, I haven't decided which OC's are going to disintegrate.

I really hope that you all have enjoyed reading about Sage and her story. And I'm glad that I managed to come up with this plot, because it is definitely one of my favorite's. Maria Hill is such an underrated character in the MCU, and I think that she deserves so much more love than she gets. And her and Sage are such a cute couple, even if it did take them twenty-six chapters to have their first kiss.

If you would like to read more about Sage, she'll be scattered all throughout the Lost and Found series. If you would like to read more of my Marvel series, I have a reading list placed on my profile with all of the currently published books! Feel free to read any of my other stories not in the series as well! I love all of you with my entire heart. With all of my love, Rayne.

With all of my love, Rayne
