                           Chapter 48

Zachs POV

       Cammie I heard a big boom. I grabbed her hand and we ran towards the door as fast as we possibly could. Everything was falling around us. Stone and rubble was falling on top of us basically as we ran towards the door. A piece of rebel lands on my foot. I fell hard to the ground. I could feel my ankle was broken. I quickly jumped up though and grabbed Kamis hand again and kept running towards the door. I ignore the pain and push through. the only thing I could think about was getting came out safely.

         When we finally reached the door we pushed our way out and started running into the Woods in case the building exploded. Cammie breathing hard my foot was throbbing. But I knew I couldn't let her down I had to keep her safe that was the only thing I could possibly think about. We finally slowed down and I turned to Cammie, "Are you okay?" I asked franticly.

        "Yea Zach I'm fine. Are you alright?" I guess she didn't see the huge gash in my foot but it was better that way for now.

        "Yea I'm good." I lied straight through my teeth. "There is a road 5 miles up this hill. We should get moving. Oh and Cam I'm glad you're ok." I pressed my lips against my beautiful wife. Oh shoot we have a five mile mountain to climb.

        "Thanks again for saving me."

        "Cam don't thank me. I need you." I pressed my lips to her forehead. She smiled then laughed.

        "Then I guess you don't want that kiss that the hero always gets after he saves the girl." She shrugged and walked off. I grabbed her arm nd pulled her back into my embrace. We made out passionately for a couple of minutes that felt like seconds. "We should get going. I paid up already." She laughed and started walking up the hill.

       "Wow is it a struggle to kiss me?"

        "Kinda." She giggled and ran for me to chase her. I did only  so she wouldn't find out that my ankle is broken. we had one about a quarter of a mile which felt like the whole five miles in and of itself. It was painful. Once I finally caught up to the well and healthy cammie i intertwined our hands and we walked the rest of the way up the dreary and big mountain. I never realized how much I hated nature. Cam put her arm around my waist and I put my arm around her shoulder. She pulled me close and grabbed my hand that was around her shoulder. The walk got easier as I didn't have to put full weight on my ankle, but I don't think she knew she was helping but as usual she was.

             We finally reached the top. A car was rounding the windy road. It was a black suburban. The windows were tinted. This didn't look good. Cam started to wave the car down. I put her arm down telling her not to. But the car pulled over to us anyway. I stepped in front of Cam not knowing what to expect. But she pushed right past me and walked to the trunk. She grabbed a black bag and opened the back door. The passenger window rolled down. And there was a smirking Joe. I rolled my eyes.
       "Jump in." He said.
       "Zach broke his ankle did you bring what I told you to?" Cam said to joe. I was very confused now.
        "Yea it's in the bag." I got into the car making sure it didn't look as though I was hurt. Cam rolled her eyes and slid in next to me.
       "How did you..." She laughed and pointed to herself.
        "Spy."
         "You can't..."
         "Yes I can. Now give me your foot." She said laughing as Joe chuckled and smirked in the front.
          "But..."
          "Now." She said. She pulled out a first aid kit. And took off my shoe. "You saved me today. Just let me take care of you for a minute ok?"
         "Fine but only a minute." I smirked. She just rolled her eyes. She rapped up my ankle and left it elevated on her legs.

         "What happened?" Joe finally broke the silence.
        "You know the usual jealous ex undercover girlfriend thing." Cam said.
        "Ahhh. So you're ok?" He asked her.
       "I'm great."
        "Zach?"
        "I'm fine." I said. Joe gave me the 'I know ur lying' look. "Just my ankle. I'm good though." I said holding Cammies hand.
        "Thanks for coming to get us Joe. " Cam said.
       "Of course. Cam I'm not losing you." He said just as her father would have. Cam gave him a huge smile. "The cia took care of the hotel so I'm gonna drop you guys off at your house. You two need a break from your break I think."
       Cam laughed and I smiled. "That's probably true."

       "Home sweet home." Cam said when we pulled into the drive way at night.
      "Thanks again Joe." Cam said. She jumped out of the car nd ran to my side to help me out. But before she got there Joe said "You did a good job. Thankyou Zach." I smiled and nodded and jumped out of the car before Cam could get to me. Joe pulled off and left Cam and i.
    
      "Zach! You are hurt! Let me help you!" She said grabbing on to me.
      "Cam I really am fine." I told her. But she still helped me in. Set me on the couch. "Thanks." I said. She smiled at me. She grabbed a blanket and sat beside me wrapping us both tight. She grabbed the remote.
       "What do you wanna watch?" She asked me.
      "I'm good with anything." I said just staring at her. "As long as I'm with you." She blushed and turned on a movie. I don't even remember the movie just the way my beautiful wife looked while she was snuggled up next to me. Gosh I love her.
