Prompt: After being sent away to fight in a war you were wounded badly, and you got to write one last letter to your girlfriend and your friends.

~your pov~

It was a rainy day, but duty called.

We went out and fought our hearts out, loosing soldiers on the way.

I watched as a few went down one by one, but besides me is my best friend Connor Tanner.

After we came home for the five months instead of being stationed in Ohio again they stationed us in Afghanistan to fight in a much bigger war.

We already have been fighting for four months, and I know we won't be able to go home at the fifth month. well I know that I won't be able to.

You see, when we were out in battle I was wounded.

Connor carried me to safety, and then called for help.

We got to our medical base, and that's where I am right now.

~Connors pov~

Y/n was shot in her right kidney, and we don't know if she's going to make it.

I tried to stop the bleeding by putting pressure on it, but it only worked for so long.

Right now we're at the medical base trying to help her, but the chances are slim.

"Can I write one last note before I- I pass away?" Y/n asked me.

"You're going to make it Y/n trust me." I tried to convince her but the worry in my voice took over.

The nurses were doing their thing, but they were panicking.

"Just give me my note pad Tanner, it's in my bag." Y/n begged me, so I finally give it to her along with a pen.

She flipped to like the tenth page and tried to write, but she was in so much pain, I could tell.

~Time skip a week~

Y/n and Connor are supposed to be coming home like in a week or two and we are planing them an welcoming home party.

"Wait Sab, what's Y/ns favorite color?" Eva asked me while writing planing stuff in a note book.

"It's y/f/c." I responded to the curious Eva.

"Do you think they'll-" Eva was cut off by the door bell ringing.

"I'll go get it." I said to Eva, and stood up and walked over to the door.

When I opened it there was someone there in a Military uniform.

"Hello are you the girlfriend of Y/n Y/l/n?" The guy asked me, and I shook my head.

"I'm Sargent Jensen, and I'm sorry to inform you, but Y/n didn't make it."

I couldn't even process what he said.

She's gone.
