Who am I?

"I heard the song almost a hundred times, but it was the first time I felt it right through my heart and soul. I cry real hard. For every word the song contains just hit me, big time."

"Sino ba ako? Ako lang naman si Bless, isang ordinaryong tao na walang maipagmamalaki. Hindi kapansin pansin at walang kaespe-especial. I mean, who am I para bigyan ng panahong kilalanin ni Lord? Does he find me that special?"

Often times, we find ourselves less worthy. Iyong kahit alam mong may ibubuga ka naman, may sasabihin ka, may magagawa ka, pero pinipili mong manahimik at paliitin ang sarili mo sa isang tabi. We let ourselves be in that corner. Kaya hindi tayo umuusad. God gives us a hundred of chances but we just always let it go. Kasi, wala tayong tiwala sa sarili natin. Masyado nating minamaliit ang sarili natin. Kahit na si Lord na mismo ang nagsasabing, "Anak, kaya mo yan! Naniniwala ako sa kakayahan mo. Sasamahan kita." Still, we doubt our own capability as well as God's.

"Anak, let go mo na siya. Ilang beses ka ng sinaktan niyan. Sasaktan ka lang niya ulit." God cares with our pain too. Ayaw niya tayong nasasaktan, because He knows we don't deserve it. Kasi para kay Lord, special tayo. Ganoon niya tayo kamahal. He treasures us so much that He doesn't want us to break over and over again. That's how amazing His love is.

When all we see is darkness, God gives us light. That's why he created the sun and the moon, to light our darkest nights and brighten up our day. Its his way of saying, "This is how much I love you. I created all of these for you."

This is the most beautiful part of the song. It just shows God's greatness. Doesn't it? Eto 'yun, e! Iyong kahit ano pang nagawa mo, ilang beses ka mang nagkamali, nadapa, nagkasala, e nandiyan pa rin siya? Na kahit ilang beses mo na Siyang tinalikuran, ilang beses Siyang binigo, ilang beses mo Siyang sinaktan, e hindi ka parin niya iniwan? Na pagkatapos ng lahat lahat, isang tawag mo lang ng, "Lord," may sasagot agad ng, "Yes, anak?" Isn't it just so amazing? That no matter how selfish and reckless you have become, He is still there. He never leaves you, He never gives up on you. At sa mga panahon na nahuhulog ka, sinasalo ka Niya ng paulit ulit. Kahit na gaano ka pa kabigat? Kahit gaano pa kahirap, He was there, to catch you when you fall.
"Nothing can ever replace God's love. Even if you put together everyone's love for you, still God's love will weigh higher. Because His love is just incomparable and unimaginable that even math can't measure."

Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea

And calm the storm in me? 🎶

"Pero makasalanan ako e. Hindi ko deserve 'to. This love is too much." For God, there is no such thing as too much. Because He is unconditional. He doesn't measure things, He doesn't focus on our weakness nor our sins. Hindi siya yung, "Ay, nagkamali 'yan. Marami ng kasalanan sakin iyan. Hindi ko na siya mahal." God is not like that. He has no restrictions. Sabi nga, "Nothing can separate us from God's love." Kahit ang mga kasalanan mo o pagkakamali mo o pansarili mong kagustuhan ang makakapagpahiwalay sa'yo sa pagmamahal ng Panginoon. Isn't that just great?
