Chapter 9

When you reached Hinata he stood in complete shock. His mouth dropped and his eyes widened.

You look at him confused. "Are you ok Hinata?"

He snapped out of it and yelled. "YOU GOT SALTYSHIMA TO SMILE AND HE LETS YOU CALL HIM TSUKI?!? HE EVEN GAVE YOU A NICKNAME?!? ALSO YOUR ACTUALLY TALKING TO HIM!! HOW IN THE UNIVERSE DID YOU MANAGE THAT?!?"

You  just shrug and start heading towards the store. While walking you started to think about the day you just had and realized something that makes you stop in your tracks.

-I smiled and talked today, but I also didn't think of old dad at all. It was also really fun to be around that group.- You give a small smile and keep on my way home.

Time skip to Wednesday (there was no practice on Tuesday)

"Come on kiddo, you gotta wake up." Says a soft voice by your ear. You slowly blink your eyes open and see Takeda with a sweet smile on his face.

"Sorry to wake you so early y/n but we have to be at the police station in an hour."

You look at the clock on the wall and see that it's 6:30 am. You sit up yawning and climb out of bed while Takeda leaves your room.

You quickly grab an outfit and throw it on. You go through your morning routine and then walk towards the kitchen.

You see the whole family at the table waiting for breakfast to finish cooking. You sit down and 5 minutes later Ukai comes out of the kitchen with plates of bacon and eggs for everyone, balancing them like an experienced waiter.

He sets them down and everyone says "Thanks for the food." Then we all dig in. Soon after we finish me and Ukai are in the car while Takada, Natsu, and Hinata are on there way to school.

Time skip to at the police station

You and Ukai sit in the car outside the station. Ukai looks at you serious and worried, he then starts talking. "Y/n... Are you going to be ok talking about this stuff? I know it will be hard but are you sure you won't get too upset?"

You nod slowly and give a soft smile and Ukai continues on. "If they ask any questions you don't want to answer then don't. I'll be with you the whole time so tell me if you need anything at all ok kiddo." You smile again and say.

"Ok dad, thank you for helping me with all of this." You say stepping out of the car, Ukai fallowing.

He wraps his arm around your shoulders. "No problem, kiddo." We walk inside together and get to the front desk. We sign in and they take us to the cop that you had talked to when they had taken away your father.

(hey y'all so I kept confusing myself between calling the old dad and Ukai dad at the same time so the old dad is now going to be father while Ukai is dad and Takeda is papa😅).

"Hi kid how've you been." You give a small smile and say. "G-good I've been getting better at talking w-with people. Ukai and my new family have helped me."

The cop nods smiling brightly. "That's amazing kid. I also heard before from Ukai that your helping him with his crazy volleyball team." You nod happily.

"That's good, well should we get started with this so you can get back to them?" The officer says kindly. You nod slightly your face showing no emotion. The cop frowns slightly at this change.

"Ok then, I need you to answer everything truthfully so we can give the best punishment for him." You softly say "Yes officer..." "Brad, and we'll start with the hard stuff. Can you please give a brief description of what's happened to you kid?"

You stay silent for a moment collecting your thoughts. "M-my mother left my father to go and play volleyball. He started to get violent and would say it's my fault I couldn't get her to stay. I-I have a twin brother, we d-don't look alike. I forced him to leave the house so he would be safe. I haven't seen him since. My father's punishments got worse because he had left like mother. We then moved and after 3 years, Ukai found me during one of his punishments and saved me." You finished slightly smiling up at Ukai.

The officer and Ukai look upset about what you had explained. "How long had this been going on kid?" You think for a second. "About 9 years give or take."

Ukai looks like he's about to kill. "So he's been hurting you since you were 7! 7 IM GOING TO KILL THIS BASTERD IF I- GHHDJDJJDJ!" You slapped your hand over his mouth snickering a little.

"Dad, you can't say your going to kill someone in a police station." You take your hand off his mouth and he pouts making you laugh. "I- ok fine that might not be a good thing but still. My poor kiddo was hurting so I must destroy him." Ukai said the last part mimicking your demonic voice from before. (First or second chapter)

You shake your head trying not to laugh as officer Brad snickers behind his hands. "Dad that voice was horrible, but don't worry I can teach you." You say smiling.

30 minutes later you are finishing up the questioning, till the last question. "Y/n, I'd like to know what your brothers name is and maybe we can find him." You nod and say.

"Ok, my brothers name is... Kentaro Kyotani."
