Chapter 16

This was an awesome night and helped me completely forget about the nightmare at least till now.

Tsukishima left and everyone else went to bed, but me, no, I was calmly staring at the dark nothingness of my closet.

I still couldn't sleep normally in my bed. The room was too big and every direction someone or something could come from. But not in here, in the closet there was only enough room for me and the only way in was through the closed door.

I couldn't sleep tho, even when I felt safer because of the closet I couldn't go back to that dream. But I had to sleep or volleyball tomorrow would be horrible.

So I try and think of the dinner tonight, the fun we all had, how understanding Tsukishima was. He may act salty but he's really sweet once you get to know him a bit. I guess what they say about sweet and salty being a great combination is true.

I chuckled softly at this and thought of Tsukishimas different personalities and started to slowly drift to sleep.

I woke with a start as a orange headed child opened my closet. I was sweating slightly from the nightmare I was having and sat up looking at Natsu. She had tears in her eyes and staining her cheeks.

Completely forgetting my dream I pulled Natsu into a hug and whispered comforting words to the little girl. After a little while her sniffing calmed. "Feeling better?" I asked and got a slight nod in return.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I questioned and she just said. "The monster was gonna take us away from papa and daddy!" She shivered and I just held her closer.

"What did the monster look like?" She started to describe a orange haired female with 'yucky' yellow teeth and always had smoke trailing after her.

I kept in mind to talk to hinata about this woman. For now though I reassured Natsu that I would never let the monster get her. I got an idea to calm her so I started to sing.

Soon I felt her head lean heavier on my shoulder. I realized she had fallen asleep so I gently stood up with her in my arms and brought her back to her bed.

I went to the kitchen and got some water and saw it was 4:00 am. I knew I wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep so I went into my room and got to work on more of the team's drawings. This time I managed to get a bunch finished.

I got the forgotten trio, asahi, daichi, Tanaka and even Yamaguccis pictures done before everyone else started waking up. I got up and made a quick breakfast for everyone to grab then started to do my morning routine.

Till Natsu got woken up by papa and she runs over to me really excited her eyes literally sparkling. She shouts loud enough for everyone to hear. "Y/N YOU HAVE SUCH A AWESOME SINGING VOICE! AND WHAT SONG WAS THAT IT WAS SUPER GOOD!" She yelled beaming up at me like the little sun she was.

"Wait y/n you can sing?!" Hinata asks to which I embarrassedly nod. His eyes sparkle like Natsu's and now I'm being blinded by two insanely bright suns.

Ukai comes over and says. "That's nice kid, you'll have to have a mini concert tonight because I think we all can agree that we want to hear you sing." Ukai says which causes the suns to shine even brighter if that was possible.

I mentally curse but nod to dad. "Fine, but we have to get to practice now."  I say calmly I honestly didn't mind if they heard my songs. Their my family and I trust and love all of them. I make a mental note to write a song for when Natsu had nightmares.

Me Hinata and Ukai started to walk to the gym. When we got there the guys all watched me worriedly but I just ignored the stares and saw Tsukishima next to Yamagucci. They came over to me and I smiled at them.

"Y/n... I-I'm so sorry for my behaviour yesterday pl-please forgive me." He said head bowed so I simply put my hand on his head and pet his hair gently causing him to look up and I smiled happily at him.

(Don't judge me I'm watching demon slayer and Nezukos head pats are in my mind🥺)

"It's all good Yamagucci." I say and we all head in to the gym to start another day.
