Mackenzie's POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Please!" Renesmee begs, tugging my arm.
"No" I reply flatly, I'd given up on shouting over 10 minutes ago. She just won't listen.
"Please! You said you would, earlier"
"I said maybe." I correct her.
"Please" she asks, tugging on my arm so hard I'm sure I heard a crack.
"Renesmee, come on. Mackenzie doesn't have to go if she doesn't want to" Bella says, trying to stop Renesmee before she pulled my arm off.
"Why? She's a hybrid, too, why doesn't she come and hunt?" Renesmee replies, walking over to Bella
"Well, maybe Mackenzie prefers normal food" Bella answers, passing Renesmee a purple leather jacket.
"But she's never even tried blood, how does she know that she doesn't like it if she's never even tried it?"
No one had an answer to that.
"Please!" Renesmee shouts, "Please, please, please, please, please!"
"If I say yes will you shut up?" I mumble. Renesmee nods her head fast, grinning.
"Then you've got your answer"
Renesmee runs over to me, and pulls me off the couch, before rushing over to a coat rack, and throwing me a black, zip-up jacket.
"Thanks" I say, putting it on. I didn't really need a jacket, to me it was quite warm outside.
"Are you sure you really want to go hunting, Mackenzie?" Bella asks, concern evident in her voice.
"I'd swim the entire length of the ocean if it would shut Renesmee up" I answer, shooting Ness a look.
"Alright then, but it's quite a run"
It had only taken a minute or two to get to the clearing, even at a running pace. I did have to slow down for Nessie and Bella to catch up, but I didn't mind; I liked to run without being chased by a pack of wild dogs. Once we had reached the center of the large, flower filled meadow, I smelt the strong odour of wolves.
"Stupid stinking mutts" I grumble, forgetting that both Renesmee and Bella could hear me. Renesmee scowls at me, but Bella was simply laughing. At least someone has a sense of humor.
"Ok" Bella starts, once her laughter had subsided. Her tone was serious again. "Renesmee, you'll have to teach Mackenzie how to hunt"
"Great! Where's Jacob?" she replies, scanning the large oaks and redwoods in the distance.
"Oh, he didn't come. He thought that as you and Mackenzie are going hunting together, it would be better if he stayed away, for Mackenzie's sake"
Renesmee whines, obviously annoyed.
It's not my fault that those stupid dogs attacked me, I was just waiting for...
My thoughts trail off. I can't even say her name anymore. I feel the uncomfortable feeling in my eyes again, and the tightness in my throat. I try to re-focus on the task ahead.
"So... how do I hunt?" I ask, holding back a dry sob.
"Well, first of all. Close your eyes" Ness answers.
"Why?" I ask, keeping them open.
"Oh, just close them already!"
"Fine" I answer, and close them.
