Mackenzie's POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As I wake up, I become aware that I wasn't alone in the room. I open my eyes a crack, struggling to see between my thick eyelashes. I notice that the sun had rose, causing sunlight to pour through the window wall. There was no one on the couch across from me, nor on the chair. I hear multiple voices down stairs, discussing something or other.
"... I can't read her mind..."
"I can't sense the emotions of anyone around her"
"That's odd, Bella's power doesn't stop Jasper's pathokinesis"
"I know"
"Do you think... we should call Eleazar"
"Possibly. Unless she knows--"
"She didn't even know what she was, how would she know if she's got a power?"
I yawn, causing someone else in the room to scramble to their feet. I look up, but there was no one there.
"Morning" someone says, causing me to jump. I fall to the ground with a thump, hitting my head on the floor.
"Morning, mutt" I grumble sarcastically.
"Not a morning person, huh?" Seth asks, ignoring my tone of voice.
"I'm not a dog person, either"
"She's up!" someone yells, running up the stairs. I look up just in time to see Renesmee turn the corner, and bolt into the living room. She was shortly followed by Bella, Edward and Jacob.
"So, when are the owners coming to pick up their dogs?" I comment aloud.
"Ha-ha" Renesmee says, helping me up off the floor.
"Breakfast's ready!" Esme shouts from downstairs. As I walk over to the stairs with Renesmee, I notice two extra pairs of footsteps. I don't bother to turn around, neither does Ness. Instead, we simply carry on walking.
Once we were at the bottom step, Renesmee pulled me out of the way.
"What?" I ask, following her gaze. Seth and Jacob were running down the stairs at such speed they were almost a blur.
"Yeash!" I exclaim, walking into the kitchen. Seth and Jacob had already claimed the pile of pancakes.
"Where's a dog dish when you need one" I mumble
"Are you hungry, Mackenzie?" Esme asks, looking at the now empty plate.
"Nope, still full from last night" I reply, "Anyway, it's like feeding time at the zoo. 'Interupt at your own risk'. "
Seth and Jacob had now cleared their plates, though they were still chewing.
"Thanks, Esme" Seth says, chewed up pieces of pancakes falling out of his mouth.
"My point exactly" I whisper to Renesmee, who cracks a smile.
"Here" Alice says, handing me a pile of freshly ironed clothes and a pair of shoes.
"Thanks" I reply, and run up to the bathroom to get changed.
Once I had finished dressing into a long sleeved purple top, dark blue denim jeans, and red converse shoes, I run a brush through my hair a few times, trying to get out the tiny knots that had formed overnight. I run down the stairs, ignoring the dog waiting at the top.
I sit down edge of the sofa, as far away from Jacob as possible.
"Budge!" Ness shouts, jumping over the side of the sofa, narrowly avoiding the side of my right leg.
