Mackenzie's POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Let's see what your coven gave you for the trip" Alec smirks, pulling the backpack from my back. I try grabbing the handle, but Jane hits my hand away. Felix was tugging my arm, trying to keep me away from Alec, who was now searching through my things.
"You won't be needing this" he says, picking the cell phone from the bag. With one squeeze of his hand, the cell crumbles to the floor in pieces of plastic and glass.
"Or this" Jane adds, removing the money from the bag, before ripping it up, along with a picture that I never got to see. Alec lifts the passports, birth certificates, and other legal documents, out of the bag.
"And these can go to the masters"
I hiss, fighting against Felix's grasp as Jane pulls a bracelet from the bag. It was so pretty: it had a large, solid silver Cullen crest in the middle, and was held onto the luxurious black felt by several tiny chains. It was beautiful, and the only memento I had, which means I'm going to hold onto it for dear life. Felix's grip tightens on my arms, and I throw my leg backwards, hitting his shin. His grip doesn't stop tightening, though. A vicious snarl rips through my exposed teeth, leaving everyone in the room shocked.
I hear footsteps approach, and a creaky door opens. Aro walks in, his eyes wide with surprise. Jane and Alec bow their heads, and I'm sure Felix did, too.
"What is going on in here?" he asks, looking directly at Jane. She slowly lifts her head to look at him.
"I was just following orders, master" she replies in her emotionless, monotone of a voice. Doesn't anyone else in this retched place get sick of her 'yes master, no master' all the time? Aro waits for a better explanation. Jane reluctantly shows him the single bracelet.
"And?"
I hiss, kicking Felix again. His grip became unbearably painful as he tightens it. Suddenly, the pressure was gone. I look behind me, to find him flying through the air, until he hits a wall, which crumbles upon his impact. He falls to the ground with a thud, but doesn't get up. He lays there, unmoving. Cool.
"She won't let us destroy it" Jane answers his last question, ignoring the events of the last thirty seconds.
"You destroy that, and you'll be a pile of ashes" I spit, charging forward. She moves to the side, but I manage to grab the bracelet before she could pull it away. She steps toward me, trying to swipe the bracelet from my hands. I growl, snapping my teeth.
"If she cares about it that much, then let her keep it" Aro commands, walking out of the room. Jane stays silent as she watches the triumphant grin appear on my face.
"Yeah, Jane. Better do what 'master Aro' says" I laugh, ignoring the horrified looks the others gave me. Jane snarls, narrowing her eyes, before stalking toward me. She grabs my arm, her unbreakable -or quite possibly breakable- grasp tightening as she sees my discomfort, before leading me down the long, twisting corridors leading to a large room, with multiple doors leading to separate rooms.
"In here" Jane snaps, opening the double doors that were shaped like a tear. The room it's self, was quite large. With a red quilted double bed, luxurious red carpets and dark mahogany walls. In the corner of the room, there was a large, polished, solid oak bookshelf, holding over three hundred books. There was a matching table, with a clear crystal bowl containing sun dried flowers, making the room smell like a summer's breeze.
"The bathroom is through that door" Jane points toward a door at the other end of the room. But there was something strange about this place. There were no windows, and the door looked as though it would be impossible for a human to open. Something told me that it was not made entirely of wood. This is no room - it's a prison.
A grin creeps it's way onto Jane's face as she sees my wide eyes.
"H-h-how l-long will I s-s-stay here?" I ask, my voice quivering.
"As long as the masters need your power. And considering that you are a puny little hybrid, you will be disposed of soon enough." she replies with a smirk, before steeping backward and closing the doors behind her. I hear multiple latches click, and the sound of a key turning around in a key hole.
"No!" I gasp, lunging toward the door. I slam into it, but it wouldn't budge. I can't believe it; she'd locked me in!
I really am a prisoner.
Thanks to everyone who read / voted / commented, it really means a lot:) This is how this story ends, but will Mackenzie get a happy ever after? I'm thinking of writing a sequel, but I'm playing around with ideas.
Should Eleazar and Carmen mend their broken relationship?
Should Mackenzie and Seth get a happy ending?
If you want to answer, please post a comment;) Again, thanks to everyone who has read, commented or voted, it motivates me to upload faster.
