After giving Ranslayer back her TemPad, she brings up Miss Minutes. While she isn't sure what's happening, she's more then happy to help. "Miss Minutes, I need you to remote access a series of restricted files from the archives."
"Ooh, doggy! On what?"
"The beginning of time. The founding of the TVA."
"Right away."
"Wait," Sylvie, who is sitting in the court room pews, stands up, "what about the end of time."
"It's just a void," Ranslayer shakes her head.
"Apparently not," I cross my arms, "or we wouldn't be having this conversation. Clearly the void isn't the end and there's something beyond that." Ranslayer looks to Miss Minutes and nods.
Miss Minutes is able to pull up a timeline, showing the end. Sylvie walks up next to me, "hiding in the shadow of apocalypses obscured me from the TVA because I couldn't create a diverging branch there, right?" Sylvie looks over to me and I nod, "so if all of this is still being written, whatever happens is just a new timeline. It would be impossible to start a nexus event there. You could be completely undetectable."
"That's it," I nod, "that's the only place they could be."
"So how do we get past The Void?"
Sylvie and I look over to Ranslayer, who shakes her head, "it's impossible. There's nothing for the TemPad to lock onto, no destination."
I lift my Pruning Rod, "then why don't we send you there."
"There's no guarantee I'd come back."
"Just like there's no guarantee Loki and Mobius are still alive"
Sylvie takes a quick breath, "what if we go through it?"
"That's suicide," Ranslayer shakes her head.
"Then I guess our need for you has passed," Sylvie tosses her Pruning Rod between her hands and steps toward Ranslayer.
But before she can do anything Miss Minutes stops her, "wait. What about The Void spacecraft?"
"Yes," Ranslayer looks over to Miss Minutes, "the prototype."
"Great, I'll get the file."
"Why have I never heard of this?" I shift and place a hand on my hip.
"Uh," Ranslayer looks over to me, "it's above your clearance. It's a spaceship designed to withstand the temporal void. It could take us to the end of time."
"Find Loki."
"Find the man behind the curtain."
"And kill him," Sylvie nods.
"Together," Ranslayer holds out a hand to Sylvie and they shake hands.
Ranslayer tries to take her hand away from Sylvie, but Sylvie tightens her grip, "Miss Minutes, where are the files on this timecraft?"
"Still lookin', hon," Miss Minutes continues to look through the files.
Sylvie raises an eye brow, "nothing?"
"Hmm, buried pretty deep."
"How convenient," I cross my arms again.
Ranslayer looks over to Miss Minutes, growing more and more nervous, "it's highly restricted. I might not even have clearance."
"Oh, no, I think you would. If it's real."
"How long?"
"Any second now," Miss Minutes continues to scroll.
I look over to Sylvie, realizings whats happening, "she called for back up."
"What?" Sylvie looks over to me.
Before we can move, the doors are opened and in come Minute Men, "go! Go! Go! Move it!" Sylvie shoves Ranslayer over before she and I climb onto and behind the judge podium.
I chuckle softly once we're safely hidden. Sylvie looks over to me a bit confused, "what?"
I exhale, "I've always wanted to be behind this desk. Not like this, but..."
"You gave up your dreams for Loki and me?"
I shrug, "friendship is more important. Love is more important."
"Love?"
"My dreams where over before I even had a chance." I shake my head, "forget I said anything."
"Sylvie, Kamaria," I hear Ranslayer, "not thinking about going in the run, are you?"
I whisper to Sylvie, "we can't, can we?" Sylvie opens her hand and shows me the TemPad and I smirk.
"We know where one of you hides. Sooner or later we'll catch you. It must be so exhausting."
"I'll admit you had me fooled there for a minutes," Sylvie calls out. "Or did you get a little real? Did Judge Ranslayer really feel betrayed by her beloved TVA?"
"Why don't you two come back out and we can talk about it?"
"Sure," I nod, "just tell everyone else to fuck off and we can settle this. Just between the three of us. Four if you count Miss Minutes."
"Works for me."
"Oh please, you're too scared to face is alone. What happened to finding the real person behind the TVA?"
"Tell you what. You two come out with your hands up and I'll put the two of you in a time loop. Something not so bad. You two can leave out your days in a good memory. Maybe even together."
I look over to Sylvie, "do you have any good memories?"
Sylvie looks back to me, "just one really." She takes my hand and smiles to me.
I nod and tighten my grip on my Pruning Rod, "together?"
"Together," Sylvie nods. Sylvie and I turn our Pruning Rods on before standing and turning them on ourselves.
