February 2017 (after HB's Dad passed away)

Harlene told Kris to talk to Herbert after their fathers internment, because Herbert is too silent from his dad's wake til they sent him to his final resting place.

"Ate, nag aalala kasi ako kay Kuya baka kung mapano. Please visit him sa house. Nakaalis na kasi sila  Athena, sinasama sya sa states hindi naman daw muna sya sasama. Yun ang laging sinasabi"

"Pumapasok ba sya sa munisipyo?"

"Oo, yun pa nga eh. Trabaho bahay sya ngayon. Di sumasama sa weekend lunch namin" Harlene said

"Sige, I'll visit him tomorrow"

"Please ate, you have keys naman sa bahay diba?"

"Yes I do, Thank you Harlene. Goodnight"

"Thank you ate, ingat ka. Pasenysa ka na sa abala"

"No worries, i'll take care of him"

She ended the call and message him

"HB, how are you?"

Its been 2 hours after she messaged him, he's still not responding

Its 11PM

Shes trying her very best to sleep, but she's worried about Herbert

"Bincai, pupuntahan ko si HB. Dun ako matutulog pakisabi sa driver magbibihis lang ako"

"Ok madam"

Shes just wearing her pantulog when they drive to his house and bring some pamalit for tomorrow

"Thank you, tawag na lang ako tomorrow para magpasundo"

"Sige madam alis na po ako" her driver said before leaving

She slowly opened his main door, then go straight to his room. Its dark the only light open is the lamp beside his bed. He saw Herbert sleeping

She turn off the lamp, and lay beside him

She wrapped her arms around him. As if in an instinct Herbert move closer to embrace her

"Tulog na tayo Bernadette" he whispered she doesnt know if he recognized her or what

She smell alcohol when she kissed him goodnight

3AM his tummy aches due to hyperacidity that made him woke up

He open the lamp and saw Kris sleeping next to him

He blinks twice "Kris?" He thinks, he scratch his eyes and touch her.. its true, Kris is sleeping beside him

"How come na di  ko napansin? Sobrang lasing ba ko?" He whispered

He slowly get off the bed made sure not to disturb Kris.. but

"Babe? Whats wrong?" she said sleepy

He kissed her cheeks

"Kuha lang ako gamot, ang sakit ng tyan ko eh" 

"What? Saan masakit?" she said in panic

"Hyperacidity lang Mahal"

"You sure? You want to go to hospital?"

"Hindi na, inom lang ako gamot..ok na rin to mamaya"

"I'll get na lang the medicine, you wait here"

He reached for her hand and stop her
