he said excitedly but immediately changed his mood when he saw Kris holding his phone and glued her eyes into it

"Im sorry, i thought its urgent kaya I opened the message, and yeah urgent nga" she said forcing herself to smile

She gave him the phone and he read whats in there
He scratch his head

"Kala ko madali na to, hindi pala.. its as if I was slapped over and over again"

"Love, kakausapin ko si Athena"

"Huwag na hayaan mo muna siya"

He reached for her hand

"Babe, you think kailangan muna nating ipostponed to?"

"Mahal naman, ang tagal na natin tong inuurong ng inuurong 7 years na tayong naghihintay"

"Ayoko kasi ng hindi tayo ok sa lahat"

"Kaya nga kakausapin ko si Athena"

"Iniisip ko kasi parang a lot of things is happening, ang daming may ayaw sa relasyon na to..." she's in the verge of crying

"Bernadette ayoko ng pupuntahan nyang sinasabi mo, pwede ba hayaan mo kong ayusin to? Si Athena lang yan i can convince her na tanggapin ka nya nakita mo naman na nag effort din yung bata to have lunch with us"

"Shes not just Athena Herbert, she is your daughter.. she has all the rights to choose kung sino ang gusto nyang makasama mo habang buhay, just like Bimb.. their opinions is very important to us.. and I dont want to live in the house na i know someone is not comfortablr having me"

"What are you saying? Sumusuko ka na?"

"What im saying is baka hindi talaga pwede.."

"Anong hindi pwede? We're old enough to decide kung ano ba ang gusto natin"

"What if Babe hindi talaga tayo ang destined to be with each other?" She wiped her tears

"I dont believe in destiny, pero kung ipipilit mo yan.. kung totoo man na hindi tayo tinadhana... ipagpipilitan ko na ako yung maging endgame mo"

"Babe im serious"

"Seryoso din naman ako"

He stared at her "nangyare na dati to, naipilit naman natin diba?" He reached for her chin

"Look at me, dati sabi mo hindi kita pinaglalaban, hindi ako proud sayo.. pero eto na ko ngayon oh, pinapatunayan ko sayo na mahal na mahal kita..wala akong ibang gustong makasama kundi ikaw lang huwag ka namang sumuko.. kung kelan malapit na tayo eh"

She didnt respond

He held her hand

"Mahal? please"

She nods.

Herbert saw her to his office table

"What are you doing?"

She turned to him "insomnia"

He approach her and hug her from behind

"You want milk? Timpla kita" he said kissing her neck

"Im fine Babe, sleep ka na tulog na din ako maya maya"

"Last night na natin magkatabi, hahayaan mo pa ko matulog mag isa"

She stand up "nagpapalambing na naman, come on"

They lay in bed cuddling Herbert caressing her hair to help her sleep

"Im gonna miss you" she said

"Araw araw kitang pupuntahan dun kaya di mo ko mamimiss"

"I love you" she said

"Mas mahal kita" he said pinching her nose and kissed her forehead

Kris kissed him on the lips long enough to linger and the rest is history.. 😍😍

Herbert woke up earlier than Kris (as usual)

He's staring at her as if its the first time he sees her this close. shes too beautiful not to take this opportunity to grab a photo of her, the love of his life. His Bernadette.. he will miss this kind of mornings with her. He pull her closer to him

"Hmm? Babe?"

"Shh sleep ka lang, cuddle lang love"

He kissed her hair and whisper "I love you so much, i cannot wait to marry you"

She caressed his cheeks and said "I love you too!" eyes still shut

"Wag na kaya kayo pumunta sa Pampanga"

"Babe, we already talked---"

"I know i know lambing lang"

"Sayo lang ako" she said

"Kiss mo nga ko para mapatunayan mo"

He said pouting his lips for Kris

"Babe naman di pa ko nag ba brush"

"I dont care, dali na kiss mo na ko, di kita papayagan umalis sige"

"Ay wow" she said

"Ayaw mo? Pag ako nag kiss sayo bukas na kayo makakaalis hahah"

She didnt respond, just shut her eyes and pretends to sleep again

"Ahh ayaw mo ha"

Shes trying to hide her smile, and when she opened her eyes Herberts lips landed to her.. the next thing she knew is she is answering his deep kisses to her they kiss as if this will be the last time they can do it..

"Mahal na mahal kita" he whispered
