"Final"

Herbert drove them to Pampanga, Mylyn's household welcome them they tour them to where they are gonna be  staying, its like a compound that looks like a villa  sorrounded by grass and a lot of trees. Mylyn wasnt able to welcome them because she has a lot of meetings to attend when they arrived. But Kris called her after they settled on the villa. Jane and her staffs arranging their things while Herbert and Kris decided to walk outside first just to have sometime alone "Babe time" (haha)

"Ok naman pala dito, makakampante ako na ganito yung environment na titirahan mo atleast ok ka9 dito"

"Yeah, thank you sa paghatid and thank you for letting me stay here muna"

"Ayoko sana eh, kaso haha"

Kris made face to him

"Joke lang" he pull her closer to him and kiss her hair

"Im gonna miss you" she said

"Facetime"

She sigh, Herbert can see sadness in her face

"Pwede naman kitang iuwi ulit kung ayaw mong mahiwalay sakin"

She leaned her head on his shoulders

"Mag iingat ka don ha" she said in sad tone

"Love, may problema ba? Bakit sobrang clingy mo?"

He said reaching for her face to face him, a tear fell

"Bakit ka naiyak?"

She didnt say anything, she just hug him tight

"Pag ganyan ka di kita maiiwan dito Love, whats the matter?"

"Wala, mamimiss lang talaga kita" she disentangle from the embrace and face him, she pinched his cheeks "mamimiss ko yung chubby cheeks mo" she force a smile, Herbert wiping the smudge of her tears

He placed her hair behind her ears and kiss her forehead, nose cheeks and her lips, he gave her lazy kisses

"pupuntahan kita palagi dito ok? Basta promise me na magpa healthy ka ha, maiuwi na  ulit kita sa bahay"

She nods

"I love you" she said

"I love you too" he pull her for an embrace a tight one

"Ehem, sorry for interruption po, Love birds enough na yan, lets have dinner na po" Bimb said laughing

"Biiiimb" Kris said

"Tito, momma sunod na po kayo ha ready na yung food"

"Yes Bimb sunid na kami, thank you" Herbert said to Bimb

The couple stays a bit before going inside to eat

After Dinner Herbert bid his goodbye to Kris and Bimb because there still a curfew and he has to go home early because he will have a meeting early in the morning too.

Kris walk him to his car

"You sure your ok here?"

"Yes Babe, ingat ka sa pagda drive ha"

"Opo Mahal, puntahan kita dito day after tomorrow ok? Kain ka madami ha"

She nods, hug him again tighter

"Huwag na kaya ko umalis, ang clingy ng mahal ko eh"

She giggles "sira! Sige na baka gabihin ka, I love you Babe"

He showered her kisses on the face and said I love you's in between, before his car off to his home

He got home near midnight, so after he stays in the living room to sanitize he goes in directly to his room to do halfbath and change clothes before going to sleep

After he do halfbath, he check his papers on his office table and saw a letter stuck at the bottom of his mini figurine, it has a pink heart and folded in two. he knew its from her. He remembered when he saw her last night sitting there. He opened the letter
It says

"My Love,
I know that you will see this once you get home. Im glad you arrived home safe and sound. Thank you so much for all the things you do and did for me and Bimb. Thank you!

I know this is new to you, its just that I cannot say this to you personally. Im not  gonna lie to you...I was hurt when I read Athena's message to you. I know you reassured me about it. But I cannot help to think na magpapakasal tayo na hindi ok ang isa sa mga anak mo, I understand her for not liking the baggage that I carry because to be honest everything is ok with your private life. I will never ask you to choose between us, never. I dont want us to be selfish because of this Herbert, I hope you understand why I am doing this. But i think we have to end this, huwag na nating ipilit. Huwag na nating ipagpilitan masyado ng kumplikado ang lahat. And Athena is right, i am no good for you specially since you are running again for the office. Diba I told you that an association with me specially now will ruin your political dreams. I cannot forgive myself if ako yung magiging dahilan na hindi mo makuha yung desire ng puso mo to serve the people. I love you too much for that..

I will be forever grateful because you came into my life, you made me feel the most genuine happiness. I will always cherish the good memories, and the good times we shared. Thank you for being my friend, and lover. I love you and I will pray for your happiness.

He didnt know what to react after he red  the parting letter Kris left him. He sits down, he wanted to message Kris so he reached for his phone and tried to call her thru facetime, but she didnt answered, he tried calling her number, still no answer. So he message her

"What is this? Youre breaking up with me? Bernadette please answer the phone, dont do this to me.. dont do this to us"

He tried to dial again her number

"Bernadette, huwag naman ganito kausapin mo ko"

He stopped calling her, and send her last message before going to sleep

"Mag usap tayo bukas, hindi ako pumapayag sa break up na to, please kausapin mo ko bukas. Goodnight"

Kris saw his messages, she knew that Herbert already saw her letter, and it teared her up. She doesnt want to end the relationship but she cant help to think that his unica hija cant accept their relationship. She loves Herbert so much but she cant continue the relationship because Athena is right, her baggage can burden his political dreams. Thats the political reality that they are living right now. And its clear to her that she will never ask Herbert to stop chasing his dreams when it comes to serving the people, just to be with her.

She 's willing to  sacrifice her happiness for Herbert. Thats what she learned from the example of her mom.

Yes, i chose to end the story this way, coz closure is a privilage, not everyone is entitled to have it. Sadly Kris and Herbert is one of those. Because...Thats life sabi nga ni Kristina..
