*Hello loves! I hope you all have a great day. There are two or three mentions of wine/alcohol, a bit of war discussion. I will always try to brief you if there are sensitive topics ahead, because all of you deserve to feel safe and loved here:) We're a family, just like the Marauders! For right now there is not a big worry regarding sensitive topics because they are still a bit young, but there will be heavier discussions/mentions in the later years of Hogwarts (nothing too scary-I'm definitely not a fear-inducing person myself and will always try to keep all of you happy). If you ever have questions or want to talk, I'm typically available most hours of the day!

With all of that being said, sit back, relax, and enjoy the holiday chapters:)

December 20, 1992

"Auntie Andromeda?" She repeated.

She recognized the woman immediately by her caramel-colored locks and precise cheekbones, followed by the flush of carnation pink color adorning her face.

Andromeda smiled brilliantly, instantly enveloping her in a hug once the young girl had registered her face. Val fiercely returned the affection, taking in her scent that overwhelmed her sense of smell. Her aunt, just as she remembered, had always smelled strongly of all things floral, just as if one passed by flowers in full bloom on a bright summer day.

The older woman pulled away, cupping Val's face as her fingertips gently held her in place. "Look at how beautiful you are!" She gushed. "My, how you've grown!"

"I know!" Sirius agreed from behind. The two women turned to see him swaggering toward them with his hands in his pockets.

Andromeda rushed to her cousin, greeting him with the same love she had shown Val seconds ago. "You two look wonderful, though you are getting a bit gray, Sirius," she joked as she looked for a sign of old age in his hair. Sirius swatted her hand away.

"I'm not old yet," he gasped. "I'm only thirty-three."

"When you do get old, you won't know it hit you," a jolly voice said from behind Val. Spinning around, she saw her uncle, and she laughed joyously.

"Uncle Ted?" She sputtered. "You're here too?"

"Unless I'm invisible, yes," the man cracked a smile. He spun her around as he used to when she was a child, lifting her in the air.

"Dad, put her down so she can give me a squeeze!"

As if the night could not get any better, Val's favorite cousin appeared, spreading her arms widely for Val to jump into.

"Tonks!" She shouted, kissing both of her cheeks as the older girl's mouth transformed into that of a duck's beak, nipping at her cousin.

"Your hair!" Val admired in amazement. The last time she had seen Nymphadora was when she had freshly finished Hogwarts, where she wore a light brown color similar to her mother's with pink ends. Now, her hair was a baby blue with purple ends as her mouth morphed back into its original shape.

"Decided to change things up," Tonks took off her jacket, wearing the coolest outfit Val had ever laid her eyes on. The ripped jeans, black boots, and lilac corset with a white long sleeve underneath made Val's mouth form an "O" in awe.

"Please do my hair to look just like yours," she whispered as they walked from the hall to the dining room.

Tonks slung an arm around Val, leaning into her. "That can be arranged. Blue hair would look good on you, being in Ravenclaw and all."

"Oh, I'm so proud of you for being sorted into Ravenclaw!" Andromeda clapped as they sat down at the table. "I always knew you were smart, didn't I, Ted?"
