*Hello, loves! Nothing has changed much since my last appearance here. I have been watching The Hunger Games lately, and am currently in a state of grieving Finnick Odair. Don't mind me at this time. I have discovered my type regarding fictional characters...

Anyhow, I wanted to ask all of you a question! Would you rather I continue this story after Year 3 on a new file, or have Years 1-7 continued on this same book? It was something I thought I should get an opinion on rather than making any final decisions too soon.

Thank you for reading! Here is the newest addition to the story:) Enjoy!

August 14, 1993 - 9:00 P.M.

"Hello?" Harry waved.

Val almost didn't believe it was him. She thought her mind had finally gotten the best of her, creating illusions purely to upset her more in the midst of her separation from everyone.

She lifted the window instantly, cursing when her shaky hands forgot which way the lock came undone. Finally unlatching the seal, she lifted the glass with all her might till the window was fully up. Her drenched friend revealed himself and his hardly see-through glasses.

"Harry?" She cried, helping pull him in and fetching his broom after he fell to the floor. "How did you get in here?"

"I don't know what you mean," he broke into a smile, taking the towel nearest to him and wrapping it around his shivering form. "I used that old portkey in the back of your other house-you know, the stone toad hidden behind that brick? Anyway, I knew it led here, and you've been gone for ages. I had to come see what had happened." He exhaled a content breath, his grin widening. "Well?"

She took the nearest newspaper, lightly hitting him with it. "And you took your broom here? During a storm?"

"Hey, hey!" He fended off her punches, putting out an arm. "A 'thank you' would be nice."

Val threw down the newspaper, looking at him as though they had been torn apart for ages. Had he grown in the past thirteen days? He must have. He seemed taller, straightening his back as he shook his head to rid of the water around his forehead and ears. His hair suited him as he cleaned his glasses, wide-eyed and anxious to hear her response. "Well?"

She was tempted to smack him again for his daringness. If her fathers didn't kill him, Lily and James most certainly would for disappearing at night.

She hooked her right arm around his neck, pulling him in for a grateful hug. "You're foolish."

"For what?" He hugged her back. "Coming to see if you were alive?"

"For testing your Mum and Dad's patience when you get back... how did you get past all of the defense charms? My dads put more around the house than I can count."

"Protection spells?" Harry pulled away, stepping back. "Well they aren't doing a very good job, are they?"

"Val?" Sirius called from the bottom of the stairwell. "Everything okay?"

Harry and her looked at each other alarmingly before she ran to the door. "I'm fine! I'll be down soon."

She closed the door behind her, leaning her back against it. "They'll be expecting me down there. You didn't choose the best time, Harry."

"I'll wait up here," he promised.

Val raised an eyebrow. "The one time we need the invisibility cloak, and you didn't bring it?"

"I had to travel light!" He hissed. "It probably would've flown off on my broom."

"Fine, fine!" She masked another smile with faint annoyance, knowing both of their cheeks hurt from smiling. "Don't do anything Dobby would do please."
