Late Night Thoughts

Chapter four~ late night thoughts

"How long will the repairs on the auxiliary generator would take Sinon?"  Simon asked in his usual stoic Expression.

"Not long about three hours I think..." I trailed off as I carefully installed the new dampener nods brought back by The Runners, who went to The "Cradle" the underground City.

I sighed in relief as the little nodes hummed, closing the small Terminal, that provided access to the system through numerous switches and wires.

"It would be alot faster if cody was here though." I added turning to face the gruff man.

"He needs to rest..." He grunted. "the ride back took alot out of him I can feel it."

He never changes is he? always wise beyond his age...

I placed my left hand on my hip and flash him a mocked skeptical look.

"You'll understand when you get older." He winked before walking away and out of the open the twin bay doors of the Power house which I liked call it.  The gentle humming of power inside these fourteen feet tall machines is soothing yet deadly, one loose Clamp can cost cost alife if your not careful and believe me one million volts of electricity can Vaporize a person. The only two people who could work without any worry are me and Cody thanks to our extensive knowledge on old Gen
Technology which existed in abundants before the fall of Mankind, only the most hardy equipment which means pre Gen or ancient "artefacts" could survive against the Nanites that erode  and rewrite all protocols, Even the three fundimental laws of robotics. I learned it from Cody on one of our little Debates about the self sustaining energy produced by the hive. I leaned foward on the railing, my back towards the enormous machine,  looking at all the Rust that nearly covered the room, from many years of neglect.

I leaned my face on my palm and sighed.

It would be nice if cody was here...

The guy knew his stuff and it was nice to see that he wasn't boastful about it, unlike the other two I've known for years who kept on trying prove to each other whose the better one, I really can't understand those two.

Us three were inseparable when were working on something but whenever I go do my seperate task I find myself enjoying the Geeky Cody's company more. Is it Strange? I hope not... I don't to hurt my friend's feelings..

I let out a heavy sighed..

"Better get back to work." I murmured and Began to make my way to the second terminal at the other side of the power house.

"This is gonna be long night...."

A\N: Hello friends here's A nice short chapter in sinon's point of view. She is one of the trio mentioned in the last chapter if you haven't notice her along with her friends check it out... I decided to give her s Role in the story instead of being an Extra who appears only for one scene only... the other two will soon make appearance later on but for now hope you enjoy Sinon's POV...
