Chapter 7

When Jake left, I tip toed to the kitchen to clean the blood and wash the sink with detergent. Jake had left his watch near the sink, he must've taken it off when he was washing his hands, the knife was on the floor I picked it up and washed the blood off of it as well. I looked out the window when I was done, I could see Jake's room window ...well that explains how he knew what I was up to. This is so embarrassing, what if he tells someone? what if he tells Kevin ?
I picked his watch up and took it to my room. I decided I'd return it later and tell him to stay quite about the whole thing. I took a bath and went through some school work,with the watch just resting on my desk.
Alice was sitting in the lounge I said my hello and went up to Jake's room . I was just about to knock when I heard Ivy's voice giggling inside, of course his girlfriend. I felt bothered by it I knew he was dating her but ... Wait why is she laughing ? did he tell her ! I hope not ! I stepped back ,and went back downstairs not sure what to do.
"Hey can you just give this to Jake " I said throwing his watch into her lap and rushing out the door.
He's Ivy's boyfriend why do I keep forgetting that!

(Next morning)
"Wake up Julie ! Are you awake yet ?" I heard Kevin call out, while knocking my room door vigorously.
"Of course I'm not! it's like 3am !!" I Groaned, wiping my eyes and getting up.
"Open the door "
"What ! Why ? Let me sleep can't it wait "
"No hurry up and it's 6am " he replied .
I opened the door and let him in .
"Why aren't you going to school ?" He asked me.
"Because it's high school," I said letting one hand fly in the air "and who told you anyways ? "
"That's no reason for not going and it's not important who told me so get dressed I'm taking you myself "
"He told you didn't he ," I said pointing at Jakes house, he didn't reply "I'm not going today ," I said trying to push him out of my room but he didn't budge one bit "whatever, stay here see if I care " I said getting back in bed.
"Fine then I don't think it would bother you if I take your laptop and your wallet and oh look your cell phone ..." He went around picking up stuff from my room.
" give me those back !" I yelled running after him, he ran out the room closing the door behind him.
"Now hurry up and change !" He ordered. I obeyed.
Why do I have to go ? Ashley's probably still not going ... Worse of all Jake is gonna be there I can't even dodge him we're in the same class ! I reluctantly had to go.
"So did you talk to Ashley yet ?" I asked Ronald as we settled in class.
"We've been chatting all night for a couple of days now, she sounds better though " he replied.
'That's..'I froze as I saw Jake walk in, my hands clenched into fists I hid them in the pockets of my hoodie. everything from that night came hitting me one by one, he had covered his wound with a full sleeved jacket , i tried to avoid eye contact as much as possible, he pulled out the chair in front of ours (mines and Ronald's) I looked at him confused he was still looking at me God stop looking at me! I looked away he seemed surprised to see me, I pretended to take something out of my bag ,I roughly pushed everything here and there in my bag, as I waited for him to settle. frustrated, I was clearly frustrated.
Class started, he was finally looking ahead now, phew! Yes I'm kind've a child.
I could clearly see he was trying not to move his arm too much.
"Hey do you have a pen ?" He whispered to the boy next to him.
"No I don't " he said after checking his left pocket, maybe it's in your right pocket don't give up ! Too late, Jake turned around.
"Hey Ronald do you have an extra pen ?" He asked him. I sunk my head deep into my hood please evaporate Julie or turn invisible ...please ! I begged myself as he was looking at me, I could feel it on my skin. I looked up at the teacher pretending to concentrate "right ," he whispered to himself "ok Justin do you have a pen " Justin who was seated behind me whispered
"here " he stretched his arm over my shoulder, to give it to him, it fell in my lap accidentally Jake stretched his arm to get it from my lap I panicked and got up the pen fell down he looked up at me confused.
"Sorry here " I said picking up the pen and putting it on his desk.
"No I'm sorry, I shouldn't of had tried touching you there " that sounded wrong !
"Where Mr Donnelley ? ....touch her where ?" The teacher asked him furious at the disturbance in his class.
"Yes answer him! " Ivy sided with the teacher angrily, from a few seats ahead.
"Nothing, nowhere! I just wanted this pen " he said holding the pen up , and laughing at Ivy and the teacher for thinking otherwise.
His laugh, I missed it.
After the bell rang I got up collecting my stuff and started shoving them into my bag. Justin was giving me a smirk " what?" I asked him
"Nothing " he replied.
I stepped forward, realising I couldn't move my feet freely, too late, I had tried to take a bigger step then I could have and I lost balanced, I fell right on Jake. My cheek pressed against his solid, hard chest, he put his arm around me whispering 'clumsy' in my ear, making my heart race. Justin had tied my shoelaces together, how mature.
"Let go of him " Ivy yelled. I turned to look at her she was charging right at me and pushed me back. I hadn't caught balance yet and fell back hitting my knee on a nail of a desk.
"What was that?!" Justin yelled at Ivy
"You didn't have to do that " Jake told her
"Are you okay ?" Nicole asked looking at the blood, Jake sat down extending his arm to touch my knee.
"Don't touch me !" I cried pushing his hand away, he looked at me surprised that I said that.
" you two should leave " Justin ordered, pulling Jake's arm back
"Let go " he said standing up
Students were gathering around which embarrassed me.
I managed to get up and walk over to a chair. Jake took Ivy by the arm angrily and left.
