I kissed Emily as we grabbed the first boxes from the truck. She smiled and kissed me back, I felt her fingers under my chin. "I am so lucky," she said.

"Trust me, love, I'm luckier," I said, unable to curb my smile. We lugged the boxes upstairs and put them on the floor in the middle of the living room. "Fuck, I really do not wanna take up 5 more boxes. Each!"

"Aw, baby, we'll be fine. C'mon, the sooner we do it, the sooner we're done,"

"Yes, Emily," I groaned, "that is indeed how time works. Unfortunately it involves, y'know, effort...but I guess it's worth it for you," I understated. She smiled and pulled me down to the truck, and we grabbed two more boxes.

I hated the act of moving in, but I loved the idea of Emily living with me.

After another 45 minutes, we'd gotten all the boxes upstairs to our apartment, and the two of us fell back onto the couch with tired laughs. She took my hand and kissed it, too exhausted to do more at the moment.

"Galya, I love living with you,"

"You've basically lived with me for almost our entire relationship," I chuckled. She smiled and turned her head to look at me lovingly.

"Yeah, I know, hon, but it's good for it to be official. And to not pay rent for a place I barely go," she scoffed. We laughed together and pulled each other closer. "I love you,"

"I love you too, darling,"

"I'm sweaty and gross," she laughed, "so I'm gonna take a shower. Relax for a little while, baby." She kissed my sweaty forehead and went to shower.

I turned on the TV and laid on the couch like a dramatic queen. Twenty minutes later, when Emily returned, she cracked up and said, "You look like you're waiting to be fed grapes,"

"Well, my darling," I began with a haughty, royal-sounding accent, "I think you should come sit with me and perhaps my desires shall be fulfilled, even without grapes." Emily rolled her eyes and laughed as she sat next to me.

"Let me play with your hair, my love,"

"No, Em," I whined, "I'm sweaty..." I secretly wanted nothing more than for her to play with my hair. But I didn't want her to be begrudged.

"Do I care? I just want to make my girlfriend happy. You can shower if you want first, but don't do it on my account. I just wanna play with your hair,"

"Mm, okay," I said. I moved to put my head in her lap and smiled up at her. She scratched my scalp, and looked down from the TV every once in a while to smile at me.

I showered later, washing the layer of sweat, dust, and grime off of myself. Exhaustion winning, I looked out at Emily and said, "I think I'm gonna go to bed, love,"

"Alright. Give me a minute, I'll be in,"

"No, stay up if you want, babe, don't come to bed on my account. Love to have you, though," I said with a smile.

Emily turned off the TV, grinning, and I could finally see how tired she was when she got up. "I wanna kiss you..." She put her arms around my neck. "And hold you, in our bed, and just..." She sighed. "Make sure you know that you are the most wonderful girlfriend I could ever have,"

"Mm," I kissed her, "I would love that, my Emily." She kissed me again and again as she led me into bed. I was already ready for bed, so I watched her change. "Ems?"

"Yeah, baby?" she said, pulling the shirt over her head.

"You're so pretty." I liked to make her smile by just saying simple things, but I wanted to continue. "And so nice, and sweet, and I'm so, so in love with you, Ems."

Emily got in bed and kissed my cheek. "I'm in love with you, Galina Karimova. I just want to hold you and kiss you tonight, love. We must both be so tired. I know I am,"

"Yeah," I mumbled, nestling into her grasp. She sighed in pleasure, spooning me happily. Her arms tightened around me, and our bodies fit together like puzzle pieces.

"Galina, baby, I love you so much,"

"Love you, Emily, baby. I'm so happy we live together now,"

"Me too. I mean, I basically lived here anyway," she chuckled. I smiled.

"Yeah, I know, but I like not asking. You're too polite. You're always worried about overstaying, being uninvited." She always asked me if it was okay that she was there, she didn't want to overstay her welcome. "You were always welcome in my home, love,"

"I know, baby, I just didn't want to do something you didn't want. If you wanted some privacy because we worked together and saw each other all day, or anything where you just needed space...I wanted to give you what you needed."

I rolled over and looked in her eyes. She furrowed her brow, confused, thinking she might've said something to hurt me. "Em, that's...I'm sorry, I didn't— have you gotten everything you need from me? I only want the world for you, my love. Is there anything I can do for you that I haven't?"

Emily looked at me with all her love for me in her beautiful brown eyes. She put her hand on my face, quelling my fear that I hadn't cared for her as I should have.

"Darling." She touched my hair. "My Galina, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. You know me so, so well, and you're nothing but good to me. I love you, and you're always so good at taking care of me. Believe me,"

"Truly, Em?" I asked. She kissed me and then smiled.

"Truly. Nothing you could've done better for me, baby. You're really the best girlfriend. Now get back in my arms, beautiful."

I smiled wide and rolled back over, moving against Emily's body. She hummed a beautiful sigh and kissed my inner shoulder from behind.
