Never Say Forever //Luke Hemmings

Chapter 5

Blake's POV

When we got to Ashton's we went into the garage and I saw Michael and Calum setting up for practice.

"Where's Luke?" Ashton asked them.

"He's taking a crap." Michael laughed.

Typical Luke, I thought smiling to myself.

"Blake you can just sit over there and watch." Ashton told me pointing to a sofa in the corner of the garage.

"Okay cool." I smiled at them and sat down.

Luke finally came back and quickly set up his guitar, still not realizing that I was there.

He looked so hot. He was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans and a ripped up concert t-shirt.

I hadn't realized I was staring at him until I looked into his eyes and he was staring back at me.

"Oh," Luke said quietly, "I didn't know you were coming Blake,"

"Yep," I replied,"I'm just here to watch." I said awkwardly looking at the floor.

"Okay boys let's get started." Ashton nervously laughed.

They started to play a song I recognized. It was 'Beside You'.

I listened to the loud music playing and looked at each one of them until I locked eyes with Luke who was already staring at me.

When he sang I felt like he was singing just to me.

She sleeps alone
My heart wants to come home
I wish I was, I wish I was beside you
She lies awake
I'm trying to find the words to say
I wish I was, I wish I was beside you

They kept singing and Luke's gaze never left mine.

They played a few more songs until they were finished.

"That was amazing guys," I complimented them. They were so good I couldn't even believe it.

Luke always used to tell me about his hopes and dreams of becoming a rockstar. And now his dreams were finally coming true and I couldn't be more happy for him.

"Blake you need a lift home?" Ashton asked me.

"Oh no I'm fine walking."

"No really it's no trouble."

"It's not that far. I'll be fine." I insisted.

He finally gave in and me, Luke, Calum, and Michael all left Ashton's house.

Calum was giving Michael a ride home while Luke had his own car.

I started walking down the street when Luke called my name.

I turned around to look at him and he said, "You know you want a ride."

I just shook my head no because I really didn't feel like being in a car with him at the moment.

"Come on Blake, just let me give you a ride."

"Fine Luke." I said getting into the passenger seat of his car.
